Four reasons why I won't buy Mass Effect 3.
Well, that's it. The game is already on sale and soon many people will find out how all of Shepard's and his team's adventures will end. To be honest, until recently, I was planning to go to the nearest store to get the coveted box of the game, but I decided to weigh the pros and cons and determine: "Is the game worth it?".
I should note that for the past several years, I have always purchased licenses for all significant RPGs, and most likely, this good tradition will be interrupted with [Mass Effect 3](/games?search=Mass Effect 3).
So here are my four reasons why I won't buy [Mass Effect 3](/games?search=Mass Effect 3):
"Action > RPG"
I think everyone has noticed that even in the first [Mass Effect](/games?search=Mass Effect), the RPG component was, to put it mildly, weak. However, the characters could leap from one cover to another as in some [Gears Of War](/games?search=Gears Of War). With the release of [Mass Effect 2](/games?search=Mass Effect 2), the situation worsened even further: we spent even more time in shootouts, and less on the character statistics screen. Reading previews and watching trailers for the upcoming [Mass Effect 3](/games?search=Mass Effect 3), it becomes clear that BioWare is putting even more emphasis on combat (and those dramatic dialogues, how could we forget them).
"Predictability"
BioWare has honed their skills in epic stories about saving the world, and essentially, their games carry the same set of clichés. Shepard will once again traverse the galaxies, but no longer with the goal of gathering a team (as in the previous installment), but with the aim of uniting races to fight against "evil" (hello, [Dragon Age: Origins](/games?search=Dragon Age: Origins)!). I won't even mention the romantic storyline that recurs from one BioWare game to another. It has already been stated several times that [Mass Effect 3](/games?search=Mass Effect 3) will be the conclusion of the trilogy (but not the last in the overall series). And does anyone really expect there won't be a "happy ending"?

And that's not all the DLC for the second part...
There are 393,660 Jews living in Canada, which is 1.2% of the total population of the country (thank you, Wiki, for the information provided). And I'm very sorry that the upper management of BioWare belongs to this number. A few years ago, DLCs weren’t so scary (what’s the big deal about golden armor for your favorite pony for .5), but BioWare has reached the peak of this idiocy. Just a day after the game's release, the sales of the first DLC begin... Sacrificing players' first impressions, chopping the game into pieces, and then demanding money for them. BioWare could learn something from CD Project RED, who still provide additional content for The Witcher 2 owners.
"Origin"
Five years ago, I hated Steam. Now I love Steam.
Now I hate Origin. I hope that in five years my attitude towards it changes...
I approached the idea of creating Origin with skepticism, but I had the chance to experience it a few months ago when I tried to launch my legitimately purchased [Dragon Age](/games?search=Dragon Age). After losing a bunch of nerve cells, I decided it wasn't worth it and, without any guilt, downloaded the game from a torrent.
Origin still has a long way to go to shake off all its teething problems. As of now, for [Mass Effect 3](/games?search=Mass Effect 3), this is far from a plus, but a minus.
That's all,
that I can say. I'm not imposing anything on anyone. Perhaps some of the downsides I listed are upsides for you. I'm just expressing my opinion. I'm not saying the game is bad (in fact, it's quite worthy), but personally, I won't be getting it.
A pony will chase all the negativity from this post :З
Good day to everyone :З
