content auto translated from {from}

Real Name:

Vladimir, but I haven't been called that in a long time :)

Age:

As my friend told me, I’ve already lived a third of my life :) And he tells me this when I'm 24? I can be congratulated on my birthday on April 21st.

University/Work:

I study and work. Although who am I kidding? Studying remotely at MIP is not really studying. And I think I'll keep my place of work a secret for now.

Likes:

I love to eat tasty food, I also love Burger King (living is harmful too, haha).

Dislikes:

Fish soup and mushrooms in any preparation.

Relationship Status:

I really love girls; it’s hard to make a choice when there are so many around :) I haven’t met the one who would take the "single" sign off me yet.

Magistrum: How did you get involved in the project? And where did you hear about it?

ultravix: I was browsing photos from Igromir 2009 and stumbled upon the gamer.ru booth :) When I wandered around the Igromir, I noticed it and found it interesting to read about what it was :)

Magistrum: What do you like most about the resource?

ultravix: A lot of useful information, a lot of tasty stuff about games, contests, and most importantly, a great company.

Magistrum: What event in the project has been the most memorable for you?

ultravix: At the moment, this interview is the most memorable event for me, and in the future, it will be GL-2010 :)

Magistrum: Do you have any negative impressions?

ultravix: The new ugly ads on the site; I think many will agree with me. Thanks, by the way, for the instructions on how to get rid of them :)

Magistrum: No problem :) How long have you been into computer games?

ultravix: I've been playing computer games for a long time; I can’t even remember my first game. I have fragments of memory, and a childhood game that stuck with me is Commandos, the demo version from the Igromania disk. Then I played Worms Armageddon for a long time; I loved completing the campaign.

Magistrum: Which genres do you prefer the most?

ultravix: I like different genres; I’ll just name my favorite 5 games, and everything will be clear :)

1 - FIFA. Before, I didn't understand people who liked kicking a ball in a game; now it’s the first game on my list.

2 - CnC 3. My favorite strategy game. The fourth part is no good.

3 - Portal. It’s simply a brilliant game; I’m waiting for the second part.

4 - Let's say GTA IV; I first bought the regular edition on my favorite Xbox on the launch day because the collector's edition wasn’t delivered. Then, after some time, I did get it.

5 - Left 4 Dead. A simple game; I enjoyed playing with friends until I got banned on Steam; maybe I’ll tell you about that later. The first part impressed me with its atmosphere; the second one is more arcade and fun.

Magistrum: I also like the last three. Now, let's move on to movies. What are your favorite films? Do you like science fiction?

ultravix: Favorite films? Oh, there are many :) I liked the new "Inception" with DiCaprio and the comedy "Kick-Ass"; the music there is great. Movies like "Cloverfield" and "DISTRICT 9" are hits for me. And that’s just the new ones; I could go on forever :)

Science fiction? Of course, I love it; the new "Star Trek" is my favorite film. Also, I watch series and anime :) A couple of series everyone should watch: Dexter, House.MD.

Magistrum: What do you prefer in music?

ultravix: As for music, I like different kinds. Preferably something from Ultra Radio.

Magistrum: Do you have a cunning plan that you plan to implement?

ultravix: I am reminded of the cartoon Pinky and the Brain, what were they doing for many episodes? I'm all in with them :)

Magistrum: What has the Gamer.ru project given you? Were you able to realize yourself in any way?

ultravix: My favorite browser game - "gamer.ru"; it’s a very good social network where you can chat and meet interesting people. And in a way, we not only create topics but we also play, gaining experience. The experience that will come in handy in the future.

There are representatives from different gaming companies on the site. Some get jobs after long stays on the site, others become testers for various games, and that’s also experience.

Magistrum: If you reached level 55, what spells would you use the most?

ultravix: When I reach that level, I hope some new spells will appear :)

Magistrum: And one more question about spells. Which unannounced spells would you like to see on the portal?

ultravix: Show who voted for a certain amount of energy? :) But in general, let the administration think about it :)

Magistrum: What is your attitude towards our administration?

ultravix: I’m relatively new to the project, so I don’t know many people from the administration yet. I really like the female half of the administration; I hope they stay just as cheerful and energetic :)

Magistrum: Do you have many friends on the project?

ultravix: If there are any, feel free to write :)

Magistrum: *wrote* And now, let's go back to your younger years. What did you want to be when you grew up?

ultravix: Spider-Man :O

Magistrum: Do you have any bad habits?

ultravix: Drinking alcoholic beverages, but is it really a bad habit? Sometimes it can even be good! :) But beer, yes, it only makes your belly grow, but it’s so tasty when draft. I don’t smoke, only when I’m completely drunk and out of foolishness.

Magistrum: Tell the story of your nickname, why ultravix?

ultravix: My first nickname on the internet was Error)(viRUS; I first registered it in the game WarCraft III. Like, beware of the virus! And everyone understood I was Russian.

Error)(viRUS > later removed the error )(viRUS > then the brackets turned into x and moved to the end viRUSx > vix.

ultravix appeared later when many sites and games started saying that vix was too short a nickname.

Magistrum: Interesting story :) I think we'll wrap this up. Lastly, what would you like to wish to the users of Gamer.ru?

ultravix: What, already done? Oh, I thought we were just getting started :) I want all users to live in peace, be friends, and not shout at each other. All disagreements should end in kisses and hugs :) Or manly handshakes.
