The role of the geth in the battle for the Citadel is in question due to information leak
Amita Qasid
Vancouver, Earth - A leak of information has cast doubt on key facts regarding the battle for the Citadel, thereby affirming the controversial claims of the long-standing organization "Citadel Conspiracy."
In a report obtained by the information activist group "TruthHax," a highly classified committee for emergency response acknowledges that the powerful dreadnought central to that battle may not have been built by the geth.
The report is based on the testimony of Captain Shepard, a hero of the Alliance fleet and a veteran. Shepard asserts that Saren Arterius's flagship is, in fact, one of many artificial life forms existing separately from the geth and hostile to organic life.
In recent years, the credibility of Shepard's claims has been undermined due to his association with "Cerberus"—proponents of human supremacy. However, if the leaked document is to be believed, the defense committee still considered the captain's testimony as a real theory.
Shepard could not provide comments as he has been relieved of duty by the committee.
At today's press conference, Prime Minister Shastri was asked several questions about the report, but he merely dismissed them, stating: "The galaxy is vast. The geth are just one of the few threats we discuss. Rest assured, the Alliance will be ready for anything."

Linron maintains power, but control is contested
Pietro Pagano
Talat, Sur’Kesh - Dalatress Linron, leader of the wealthiest family on Sur’Kesh, has struggled to maintain her family's leadership.
Last night, in a lengthy speech to her homeworld and colonies, the dalatress addressed her clans, duchies, and branches, praising the growth brought to the Salarian business by her, while throwing stones at competitors—the Nara family.
After this, vows of loyalty and statements of distrust were incorporated into the positional voting system that the Linron family uses to establish dominance.
Dalatress Nara congratulated Linron on her victory via phone. However, insiders warned Linron that she should keep an eye on her rivals.
"In Salarian politics, 'I love you' means 'You will die,' and 'You will die' means 'I love you'," said one of Linron's aides.
"Linron's influence over the Salarian Union is indisputable, but the Nara are dangerous. They won't even acknowledge Talon as the capital of space."
The source added: "If their dalatress plays her cards right, she could gain the loyalty of the STG, a key power in any coup."
In other words, just another day on Sur’Kesh.

The Migrant Fleet denied Council inspectors
Diana Allers
Citadel - Diplomatic relations between the quarians and the Citadel Council have cooled as the Migrant Fleet refused to consider allowing Council weapon inspectors to visit.
The Council was prompted to this step by rumors that the Migrant Fleet allegedly acquired ship materials that could be used to construct dreadnought-class technology months ago.
Rumors, based on reports from anonymous Spectres, revolve around the battle for Corlus, a planet in the Terminus system. In a brutal clash, the Migrant Fleet engaged the Blue Suns mercenaries. When the fight was over, the Migrant Fleet salvaged materials from ship parts or the planet's orbit.
Quarian representatives made no attempts to justify themselves.
"We don't have an embassy on the Citadel, and we are no longer participants in the Farixen treaty," said Admiral Han'Gerrel vas Nima, "Our weaponry does not concern the Council. Additionally, the concerns are unfounded. We have never had, nor do we plan to have, hostile intentions toward the races of the Citadel."
This caused an uproar in Citadel space.
"The Migrant Fleet has always played with the law," stated popular blogger Fiero Derlan, "But to mount an axial gun on a ship that is who-knows-how-long? That’s not a cause for concern; that’s a reason to wet your pants."

"The expansion of 'Cerberus' presents a significant threat"
Iris Danningan
CITADEL – A report by the Salarian Special Response Group (STG) warning of a growing threat from the anti-human group "Cerberus" is gaining increasing attention in the Citadel Tower halls. The NSA agreed not to disclose the classified data of the report, but experts from the STG, wishing to remain anonymous, warn that an organization previously considered small, with strict entry criteria, has significantly increased in size and strength.
"There have always been people who feel that the Council is deceiving them," said one agent. "And 'Cerberus' plays on that fear." The recruitment video attached to the report clearly conveys Cerberus's main idea: "Other races can talk, trade, even live with us, but when the thunder strikes, we will be on our own."
Critics of the report appeared very quickly. "It states what has already been reported by Spectre Intelligence a long time ago," revealed our source in the Tower. "We know that 'Cerberus' is capable of assembling a massive army, building a stealth frigate, and engaging in innovative research. It has been clear for months, even years, that 'Cerberus' is increasing its numbers; however, when it comes to how they are doing it, STG just shrugs: 'We don't know yet.' The time when that answer was acceptable has passed."

The flow of batarian transport brings rumors of war
Shirin Kazemi
Utopia System - A massive influx of batarian ships has triggered a sharp increase in tension in the Exodus Cluster, placing Alliance forces on high alert. According to Alliance representatives, the ships arrived from the batarians' transmitter Har'sa with virtually no warning. The Alliance fired warning shots at some of the ships to disable them.
"It's a miracle they're still alive," stated the captain of a human frigate. If the batarians are to be believed, they are neither occupiers nor defectors, but refugees. They claim that hostile creatures attacked the Hegemony fleet, bombing Har'shan and other batarian planets.
Due to damage to the communication buoy in the Har'sa system, communication between the fleeing batarians and their government on Har'shan can at best be described as sporadic. Some refugees claim that the Council attacked them. Others blame the geth or even the rachni. But all report that the enemy blocked the transmitter, destroying most ships trying to break through. Among the refugees are not only civilians. Hegemony Captain Erus Mazat, who is under protection while his cruiser is being checked, was blunt in his assessment of the situation: "I never thought I’d say this to the human fleet," he said, "but we need you."
