Easter Eggs in Multiplayer
"Easter Egg" is a type of secret that developers leave in their games for fun or to thank their loyal fans.
This post describes the "Easter Eggs" that can be found in [Battlefield 3](/games?search=Battlefield 3), detailing their locations.

Easter Egg #1 (signs, logos, brands)
If you already have the "Back to Karkand" expansion and have played/are playing on the "Operation Karkand" map, you've likely come across this Easter egg often, though you may not have noticed it.
On boxes scattered throughout the map, DICE placed a logo resembling its own but called MICE.
For example, the original company's logo:
The next Easter eggs are also connected to DICE's obsession with printing their logo in places where the average player would never see it unless searching specifically.
I found the DICE logo on "Wake Island," in a dark corner of an unfinished building, on some orange crate.
It's unclear why DICE placed their logo on such a minor and inconspicuous object?)
Perhaps what I discovered was nothing more than a hidden stash from DICE?
What have they hidden there?) And is it somehow related to the strange name MICE on the boxes?)
Perhaps they want to create an equivalent of SPICE and name it MICE.
I could give them a slogan:
MICE – it’s like SPICE... only from DICE.
Phew... I shouldn't have been lying next to those orange boxes for so long.
In general, drugs are not toys! Don’t use them or try to sell them. This will save your life and the lives of those close to you.
Beady-eyed tomatoes from DICE
Cleaning agent from DICE
House rentals from DICE
Architect, engineer, and manager services from DICE
Hand dryer from DICE
Newspaper from DICE, with pictures from the single-player campaign.
Something about the EA/DICE studio
"Bad Apples" from the "Unhealthy Products" corporation - very original.
Dr. Petter, likely a parody of the real firm Dr. Pepper, with which DICE has a large advertising contract.
Fish... poor thing
This "Easter egg" is located on the "East Bazaar" map, near point "D" (Crossroads)
Easter Egg #2 (Music from previous Battlefield games)
In a coastal bunker located on the South of the "Wake Island" map, there's a grandpa of the Ipod`a, an old, white, cassette tape player, which broadcasts the Battlefield soundtrack to the surrounding area.
However, since this old cassette player has been here since the days of Jack Sparrow
Captain Jack Sparrow for many years, its tape is simply stuck, so it only plays a small portion of the entire soundtrack.
Another tape player is located on the roof of the "Hotel" (point G) on the "Gulf of Oman" map. It plays a piece from Battlefield 2.
You need to enter the "Operation Karkand" map, go to the point indicated in the screenshot, turn facing South (this is to hear better), say aloud "Sim-Sim play" and in a couple of seconds you will hear the familiar music from Battlefield 2.
The area is marked on the map, entering it will allow you to hear the coveted track.
The above-mentioned "Easter egg" is also present on the "Sharki Peninsula" map, in "Assault" or "Capture" mode.
In the building (in "Capture" mode - this is point "TV Center"), where the last transmitters are located, if you go up the stairs and stand between the second and third floors, you can hear how behind the closed door the drums were booming, guitars were roaring the same music from Battlefield 2 is played.
Easter Egg #3
DICE prepared a thanks to all their loyal fans, inscribed on a memorial stone located in the northwest of the "Wake Island" map.
It says:
"To those who fought here in 1942 – BF2 – 2142 and 1943, we are grateful" (c) DICE
Easter Egg #4 (Dino-Babies)
On "Wake Island", in the airport hangar (point "C"), there's an interesting document with the following content:
Top Secret
Objective:
To return all dinosaurs.
Details:
We lost 5 or 6 dinosaurs on the island, it is very important to find all samples and safely return them to base.
Additional details:
The general promised cake!
Location of all 5 dinosaur babies + 1 plush bear from Battlefield 2:
What do you think, why is it called "Chihiro"?
Why dinosaurs?
A bit of history:
On the popular site 4chan, an Activision employee named Sarah Braden expressed concern about the low sales figures of the game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on the PC platform due to negative user feedback. Sarah asked what they would like to see in the game to receive their positive assessment. In response, users unanimously advised adding dinosaurs to the game, as dinosaurs are very popular.
DICE did this—adding dinosaurs in Battlefield 3, starting to troll thus preceding Activision.
Easter Egg #5
On the "Operation Metro" map, near the turnstiles, there is a booth for taking pictures of yourself. Just go in, turn left side to the entrance, and press the action button ("E" by default). Too bad we won’t see our photos(
Easter Egg #6
On the "Operation Metro" map, west of the turnstiles, behind a grating door, there is a yellow backpack - an "Easter egg" from the game Mirror’s Edge.
Easter Egg #7
On the "Operation Metro" (South Base) and "Crossing the Seine" (North Base) maps, in a large glass building (Financial Center), above the entrance, there is carved a thank you.
I don’t know exactly who this thanks is from, but I know very well who it is directed to. It is addressed to the developers of the Battlefield game series, DICE.
And it is inscribed as follows:
"Pour votre travail impressionnant sur la série Battlefield"
2002.10.09 – 2011.11.11
In translation, this sounds roughly like:
"For your impressive work on the Battlefield series"
2002.10.09 – 2011.11.11
Easter Egg #8
A troll Easter egg is located on the "Gulf of Oman" map.
On one of the houses, there is a newspaper with a mock question.
It says:
"Why haven't you got a girlfriend yet?"
Translating roughly to:
"So, why don't you have a girlfriend?"
I hope many BF3 players know the answer)
Easter Egg #9
Meanwhile, amidst fierce battles in the "Gulf of Oman", in an elite "Oman" high-rise building, behind closed tarpaulin floors, hardworking guests from the nearby foreign region - Ravshan and Jumshut are busy.
If we’re serious, you can clearly see in the game that a welder is simply "working" there.
To better see this scene, I recommend climbing the crane across from the closed, tarpaulin-covered building.
Easter Egg #10
A small "Easter egg" is located on the "Operation Metro" map in "Assault" mode.
Near one of the first transmitters, there is a small playground, on which a tower made of sand is built. At the top of this tower are flags of Norway and Sweden.
Easter Egg #11
The same sand tower with a flag on top, only drawn, is located on the "East Bazaar" map.
Besides Battlefield 3, such a sand tower has appeared in two other games in the series:
Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Map "Desert Atacama"
Battlefield 1943
Easter Egg #12
On the "Operation Metro" map, at the "Ticket Booths" point, you can see a sign for metro stations. This sign features the sisters Catharine and Faith Connors, the main characters of the game Mirror’s Edge.
Another hint for the second part of Mirror’s Edge?
