Psychedelic Paradise on PC
The whimsical puzzle [PixelJunk Eden](/games?search=PixelJunk Eden) will no longer be a PSN exclusive.
[PixelJunk Eden](/games?search=PixelJunk Eden) is the third game in the series by Q-Games, a platformer. In the role of a small creature, you will weave threads while jumping across grass, defeating pests, and collecting pollen from them. Pollen is a way to plant seeds to reach the depths of the paradise garden. The amount of pollen you collect determines how many plants you can plant. The goal of each level is to seek out and collect valuable items within the time allocated to you. [PixelJunk Eden](/games?search=PixelJunk Eden) is endlessly captivating and easy to control. It also features multiplayer for up to 3 players.
PixelJunk has been priced at 5.99. The Steam version of the game has been slightly revamped; now you can save your progress in each Eden garden.
"Steam has always been a great platform for indie games, and I admire how they support the development of such unconventional games like Terraria, Bastion, [World of Goo](/games?search=World of Goo), etc.," said Q-Games' head Dylan Cuthbert in an official statement.
The game will be available on Steam next week, along with a 20% discount on everything, including DLC. This is the second game in the series that has been released not only on PS3. The first was [PixelJunk Monsters](/games?search=PixelJunk Monsters), which appeared on Facebook.
The average score for PixelJunk Eden on PSN, according to Metacritic, was 80/100.
This description is relevant for the PS3 version, but I assume there won't be much difference with PC.
To date, a wide variety of fighting games, action games, and racing games have been created for the PS3 (PlayStation 3) and PC, it is necessary to speculate what might be more relevant in this situation. Where is the oasis of calm amidst the chaos?
The game PixelJunk is exactly what you need! Unique and unparalleled. Visually, the game resembles lava: everything flows with a variety of colors and changes, acquiring unique shapes. After playing for a couple of hours, or maybe only minutes, you will understand that this little world lives its own colorful life, and every plant found there is a means to achieve your desired goal.
PixelJunk Eden is the third game in the PixelJunk series, created by Q-Games specifically for the PS Network gaming network. This wild company adheres to the simplest principles: simplicity, uniqueness, and kindness. Don't expect the game to resemble its predecessors. PixelJunk Eden will be the most unique game in the world! You will control a small creature named Grimp, who travels from garden to garden in search of Spectra. Also, Grimp can fly in any direction, helped by the right joystick.
When you start a new episode, some plants grow in the garden; you will also see colorful spheres flying all around. When Grimp enters a sphere, it disintegrates into tiny particles of pollen, which can later be sprinkled on seeds growing near you. You can collect a lot of pollen by breaking several spheres at once, and this will grant you bonus pollen. When a plant receives the required amount of pollen, it evolves into a new plant. The objective of the game is simple: collect pollen, which is used to grow plants + helps Grimp get to Spectra.
Flying Grimp and its antics blend well with the peaceful garden and the light, moderate flight of the spheres. There is harmony and tranquility, the music is relaxing, and the various colors delight you and your eyes.
Of course, completing the game is challenging, despite all the charms! The controls are easy, so collecting Spectra will not be problematic; but as you progress, you will have to manage time and make choices between different plants, as well as only plant the necessary ones.
In addition, the game is complicated by the presence of an indicator, similar to an hourglass. The indicator can be filled with crystals, but unfortunately, their supply is limited. In some gardens, you will encounter enemies that cannot be killed. They will create mischief and impede your successful flight in every way. The game features a unique mode that allows you to record your gameplay videos and upload them to YouTube.
Q-Games continues to delight with its professional projects for the PS Network, and now for PC as well. Discover a new world of possibilities and bright colors that delight the soul and captivate gamer's interest.
