Aion: The Tower of Eternity is an MMORPG produced by NCSoft, the developers of Lineage 2. Fantasy, elven characters with large eyes, warriors with long swords — in short, stunningly beautiful for the processor. The CryEngine engine delivers a truly pleasant picture, while not forgetting to impose significant requirements on the system. The game combines PVP and PVE.
The story unfolding before players is as follows: at the beginning of time, the great Aion closely watched over the world he created — Atreia. He created humans and Balor, so that the latter would protect the former. However, the world did not last long: Balor craved power. The five strongest among them called themselves the Dragon Lords and turned to Aion with a demand to share power with them, but they were refused. Enraged, the Balor declared war on Aion, and he was forced to create 12 Lord Protectors tasked with guarding the Tower of Eternity.
Despite the rather intricate story, the game is easy to learn. Everything that does not involve farming, crafting, and killing is almost absent from the game, not distracting the player and allowing them to focus on other important MMO aspects. Castle sieges in Aion are distinguished by their massiveness and scale, and the actions take place in a highly rugged terrain filled with rivers, forest areas, and natural obstacles, some of which can be overcome in the air — the ability to fly is available in strictly designated areas.
