'Assassin's Creed Origins' is a multiplatform action-RPG game developed by the Canadian studio Ubisoft Montreal in collaboration with several other studios of Ubisoft Entertainment for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Its worldwide release took place on October 27, 2017.
'Origins' is the tenth (or eleventh, if we also count 'Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD') game in the series. This time, we are sent to Hellenistic Egypt in the mid-1st century BC and will learn how the Brotherhood of Assassins was founded, opposing the Order of the Ancients (proto-Templars) – a secret organization that united members of the highest priesthood of Egypt, courtiers, influential citizens of Egypt, and even Roman dignitaries. Our main, though not the only, protagonist will be Bayek – a hereditary Medjay, the founder of the Brotherhood and the creator of the Creed. In some missions, we will also get to play as his wife Aya, one of Cleopatra's close advisors. In addition to her, several other well-known historical figures will be present in the game, including the boy-pharaoh Ptolemy XIII and Gaius Julius Caesar.
