Close in genre to classic FPS, BioShock takes the quality of action games to a new level.
After a plane crash in an unknown part of the Atlantic, searching for salvation, you find a rusty bathyscaphe and embark on a journey to the hidden underwater city of Rapture. But it turns out that this secret city, once created for the best representatives of humanity—scientists, artists, musicians, entrepreneurs—is now filled with decaying corpses, heavily armed guardians accompanying little girls—harvesters of death—and mutated, insane residents ready to tear you to shreds at every encounter.
You must survive in this chaos, using every means available: control mechanical devices, security turrets, and reconfigure them for your purposes; upgrade your weapons with ion gels, toxins, and explosives; modify your body using plasmids that grant you literally inhuman abilities; unravel the complex web of intrigues that permeate the brilliantly written plot. Also, prepare for incredibly beautiful graphics that perfectly convey the atmosphere of the mysterious city, where water has not only a narrative underpinning but also magnificent visual realization. But, while literally "diving" into the gameplay of this magnificent game, do not forget that your decisions matter greatly.
