Brick Force is a computer game in the first-person shooter genre, developed by the South Korean studio EXE Games. The distribution model is free-to-play. Battles between players take place on arenas created by themselves, as the game mechanics allow for it. Brick Force bears a strong resemblance to Minecraft with all its squares and cubes, but the graphics in Brick Force are much better. Instead of square-headed creatures, there are angular yet somewhat streamlined fighters (like little Lego figures) with cute expressions on their glossy faces. When they are hurt, they cry, and when they manage to shoot an opponent, they rejoice and laugh. During battles, these little guys shout in their exceedingly squeaky voices, running around, bustling, and shooting at everything that moves.
As mentioned earlier, the battles take place on maps created by the players themselves. The locations can vary greatly; it all depends on the gamers' imagination. A small map with two box-homes where barely a few fighters can fit? No problem; as long as the hands are steady, skill will develop over time. More advanced players can create real multi-level arenas with plenty of paths, nooks, and rooms where they can hide and enjoy a good camping moment.
It is worth noting that Brick Force has a wide variety of weapons – from pistols to sniper rifles and grenades – so each gaming session turns into quite an entertaining affair. Cartoonish soldiers run around like crazy, waving their AK-47s, M16s, or even MP40s (commonly known as "Schmeissers"), trying to get to more powerful firearms scattered across the level (if additional weapons are provided, of course). To avoid being left with nothing during a fight, it is advisable to stock up on everything necessary in advance. You can pick up ammunition in the in-game store.
Brick Force cannot be called a groundbreaking project, as it does not offer anything new. The developers took the idea of Minecraft as a basis and combined it with a rather mediocre shooter. It's amusing, but no more than that. You can have fun playing Brick Force in the evening, but there's not much point in investing real money into the game (since it's F2P).
