"Cat Quest" is a casual and fairly short ARPG developed by "The Gentlebros" and released on August 8, 2017, by publisher "PQube" for Windows and Mac OS. Other versions were released later.
In the game, you'll find plenty of references, Easter eggs, and hidden levels. The developers enjoy joking in general, and the dialogues are written in a special cat purr language - almost every word plays with puns.
The game boasts a cute visual style, excellent sound design, and a delightful soundtrack that doesn't detract from the gameplay.
The main character of the game, a fluffy cat, discovers after defeating the first dragon that he is a Dovahcat. Our kitty will slay enemies with a variety of spells while donning either armor or a mage's robe. He won't have the power of voice, of course.
Equipment stats can be upgraded at the blacksmith for coins, while the hero's stats increase automatically. Before the kitten meets his enemy Darkot, he will defeat many opponents in real-time battles. Each enemy has its own weaknesses and combat style.
The game world is open, though very small and semi-alive, with the main entertainment being quests given in towns and settlements.
Overall, the game leaves a positive impression, as everyone loves cats on the Internet!
