In 2013, a mysterious disaster occurred, causing most of Europe to turn into a vast anomalous zone. Many people died or went missing, and those who survived spoke of incredible things... The anomaly was not observable from space, and all attempts to study it yielded meager results... The emergence of strange creatures, frighteningly similar to humans, was the first reason for the quarantine to be declared. A 'Line of Death' was built around the anomaly - a wall of armor plates with minefields and machine gun nests around the perimeter. Thus, those who failed to evacuate from the quarantine zone found themselves forever cut off from the rest of the world.
Years passed, and the people remaining in the zone began to form small settlements. The first clans appeared, led by Lords - individuals with enough strength and courage to lead others.
A young warrior, Rodan, who grew up in the zone, seeks to uncover the true causes of his father's death, one of the last Lords. However, he will play a much more significant role in this story.
