Digger
The game, released in 1983, began the era of computer games.
Digger was created by the main developer of Windmill games, Rob Slyz, in 1983. In 1984, Digger was rewritten for IBM.
During the game, the background music featured Gershon Kingsley's theme "Popcorn." In bonus mode, the melody of the overture to Rossini's opera "William Tell" played. After the player died, a fragment of Chopin's Piano Sonata No. 2 in B-flat minor, known as the "Funeral March," was performed.
Currently, there are many clones and variations of this immortal game, with the latest one (I-Digger) released just a year ago.
In general, the game remains relevant.
Digger's closest competitor is Packman.
