Dragon Age: Origins is a single-player computer role-playing game from BioWare.
The action of Dragon Age: Origins takes place in the fictional kingdom of Ferelden during a time of civil wars. The player takes on the role of a hero who must unite the kingdom and save it from the threat of an invasion by demonic forces of somewhat unclear origin.
Dragon Age: Origins received rave reviews from players and the press. The list of awards won by the game is also quite impressive. The public's love for the project is easy to explain — Dragon Age became the first classic RPG in many years. Recently, the genre has increasingly leaned towards action elements, so BioWare's creation was a real discovery for fans of the 'classics'.
Less than six months after the release of the original game, BioWare released the expansion Awakening, and in March 2011, a full-fledged sequel was available in stores. Dragon Age 2, despite all the successes of the first part, received a rather controversial reaction from fans and the specialized press. The main complaints about the second part from the gaming community were the simplification of gameplay and combat system, as well as the homosexual subtext and permissiveness in relationships with computer characters.
