"Driver" is a narrative-driven racing action game created by "Reflections Interactive". Initially, the game was released on PlayStation but was ported to PC and Mac in less than a year. A special version for Game Boy Color, featuring a top-down view and fewer missions, was also released. In 2009, thanks to Gameloft, a mobile version of the game was released for iPhone and iPod Touch.
We play as John Tanner, an undercover police officer who infiltrates a gangster gang disguised as a driver and attempts to uncover a series of crimes spanning four American cities: New York, Los Angeles, Miami, and San Francisco. In his car, Tanner will drive through the city streets, completing various assignments from the crime bosses: helping to rob banks, spying on competitors, and taunting the police.
All missions in "Driver" are completed exclusively in "driving mode" - there is no option to leave the car and walk. Additionally, the game features strict timing, ensuring a fairly high level of difficulty.
