Farming Simulator 2013 is a multi-platform computer game developed by Giants Software. The publisher is Focus Home Interactive. In Russia, the project is published under the sponsorship of '1C-Softclub'. The release of Farming Simulator 2013 took place in late October/early November 2012. The platforms on which the game was released are: PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3.
As you can probably tell from the title, Farming Simulator 2013 is a farmer simulator with all the resulting consequences: plowing fields, harvesting crops, raising livestock, and purchasing agricultural machinery. Farming Simulator 2013 is a sandbox, or as it's simply put, a 'sandbox' where the player can do whatever they wish. If you don't want to collect hay or potatoes, you can take a combine or tractor to the city, drive around the few streets, and bump into parked cars on the roadside.
Farming Simulator 2013 doesn't have any story at all, which isn't surprising. At the beginning of the game, the new farmer receives their own farm near the small town of Hagenstedt, which needs to be developed in every possible way. At first, the farm has practically nothing: no modern agricultural equipment, no livestock, no means of living. Just debts, and significant ones at that. Essentially, the main task for the farmer is to get out of debt with the subsequent goal of making a profit. Whether they succeed or not depends solely on the player's diligence, patience, and perseverance.
As the farm develops, surplus funds appear, which can be spent on acquiring various chickens or sheep, as well as on purchasing new equipment. It should be noted that all the machines presented in Farming Simulator 2013 for plowing and weeding are not fictional–the developers obtained all the necessary licenses. By the way, there are many tractors and combines in Farming Simulator 2013. Some machines harvest potatoes, others fertilize fields, some plow, and others transport the harvest and so on. Managing all the equipment alone can be quite challenging, so sometimes you can activate the automatic mode and watch the process from the sidelines.
Farming Simulator 2013 is quite a unique game, but considering that various social networks are bursting with farming-themed applications, it might find its audience. Additionally, to keep players interested, the developers introduced a multiplayer mode in Farming Simulator 2013.
