The first competition of the audiences of the three main gamer social networks of the Runet has begun!!! It's time to loudly declare that GAMER.ru is the most united, the most talented, and indeed the most gamer social network in the Runet!
For those who have spent the last couple of months in sunny baths or have recently joined us, let's clarify: today marks the beginning of the first creative competition of the audiences of the three main social networks for gamers in the Runet. Representatives of GAMER.ru, Kanobu.ru, and GamersBlog.ru will face off in the arena of artistic mastery, literary skill, and video editing! During the qualifying round of the Battle, the best of the best will be determined in three nominations, who will meet in a final duel for the honor of GAMER.ru and some very significant prizes!

Here's how everything works: as you read this post, sooner or later you will come across the competition tasks. There are three nominations in the qualifying competition, and accordingly, there are three tasks. You can only choose to execute one task out of three - such are the rules. If you are torn between the literary task and the artistic one because you are very good at writing and drawing, then decide quickly - while you think, your like-minded peers are already finishing their competition work! ;) You have just under two weeks: from September 9 to September 22 at 10:00 Moscow time. Before the critical deadline, you must submit your work for the jury's judgment by sending your creation in the prescribed format to bitvatrehgamer@gmail.com. The results will be announced on September 23.

Art nomination:
You need to draw a comic on the theme "War from Darksiders in another computer game." You choose the style, technique, and tools of execution; only your imagination limits you. Do not exceed 9-10 slides. For those who don’t know, "War" is the name of the main character of the whirlwind slasher “Darksiders,” which will be released by Buka in Russia on PC on September 23 this year. Note that unofficially you are competing with the visual style author of Darksiders, Joe Madureira, the creator of the comics X-Men, Battle Chasers, and The Ultimates ;)
*The competition work must be sent as an attached file in .jpeg format, up to 10 megabytes in size with a resolution of at least 1024\*768 pixels. Drawings made with pencil, paint, pen, charcoal, etc. must be scanned or photographed with a camera with minimal loss of quality.*

Literary nomination:
You must write a short story on the theme "One day in the life of a zombie from 'Plants VS Zombies' on the other side of the fence." You define the style and manner of presentation; your imagination is your only limit. Do not exceed 25 pages (including pictures, if any). For those who don’t know, “Plants VS Zombies” is perhaps the most popular casual game, which will be released in Russia by Buka in Q3-Q4 of 2010. You can find out more about the game here.
*The competition work must be sent as an attached file in .doc format, up to 10 megabytes in size. Font – Times New Roman, size 12, color – only black, maximum volume of work 25 sheets in A4 format. If you insert an image into the text, ensure that it is compressed and does not unnecessarily increase the size of the .doc file. In other words, please do not insert images sized several megabytes – compress the image size to several hundred kilobytes.*

Video editing:
You must make a video review of the RTS "R.U.S.E." The game has just appeared on store shelves today. The style and manner of creating the video review are limited only by your imagination. You can read about the game here.
*The competition work must be uploaded to the file-sharing service files.mail.ru, and the download link sent to the email for submission of works. The video should not exceed 1 GB in size and 10 minutes in duration. The video as a whole or its individual components must not violate copyright law and generally accepted moral norms.*
The email must include: a download link for the video; a brief description of the completed work; the participant's nickname on GAMER.ru; a link to their profile on GAMER.ru; full name (surname, first name, patronymic); complete postal address (index, country, region, city, street, house, building, apartment); contact phone number (preferably mobile). The subject of the email should be “Video work for GAMER.ru.” Send your works to bitvatrehgamer@gmail.com.
Violation of the competition work requirements results in a warning for the participant. Wishes expressed in the warning must be complied with. If the comments are ignored, the warning may evolve into disqualification from the competition.
Now about the prizes:
Each winner of the qualifying round in their nomination receives 300 experience points and advances to the finals. Each semifinalist, i.e., the nearest follower of the finalist in their nomination, receives 150 experience points, 3 games from Buka, and hopes that the finalist of the qualifying round does not make it to the finals. The remaining participants of the qualifying round of the Battle will be awarded by Buka and the GAMER.ru administration at their discretion.
The most fortunate loser in the qualifying round will receive speakers Solo 6C from the company Microlab.
The lucky winner will be determined by random drawing with the assistance of Vadim Zhuravlev, PR manager of Buka. A video report of the voting process will be made publicly available on the official Buka YouTube channel.
