Crusader Kings III celebrates its fifth anniversary
On September 1, Crusader Kings III celebrated its fifth birthday. It's been five years since the release in 2020, filled with the creation of dynasties, family feuds, pilgrimages of saints, and random murders.
To commemorate this event, Paradox Interactive published an infographic with some interesting statistics.
"Five years have flown by so quickly," says Crusader Kings III Game Director Alexander Oltner. "We launched Crusader Kings III in the midst of the Covid pandemic, so the final stages of development put extra pressure on the team. The fact that the game has been so successful is a testament to both the hard work of my colleagues and the passion of the community as a whole."
In the past five years, Crusader Kings III has sold over four million copies across various platforms. Since its release, Crusader Kings III has received more than twenty expansions, both large and small, and soon the biggest expansion in history, All Under Heaven, will arrive, nearly doubling the size of the map and adding a lot of new Asian-themed content. Originally developed for PC, the game has also found an audience on Xbox Series X|S and Playstation 5.
