The Season 08 Expansion Pass is now available for the console version of Stellaris
The Season 08 Expansion Pass for the strategy game Stellaris has been released on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. It grants access to the Rick the Cube Species Portrait pack and the The Machine Age expansion, as well as providing access to the Cosmic Storms expansion and the storyline pack Grand Archive, which will be available next year.
Additionally, Stellaris: Console Edition received an update that improved its optimization on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and added more graphics settings for 4K resolution. More information about the improvements can be found in the developer diary.
The Season 08 pass for Stellaris: Console Edition includes:
The Machine Age (main expansion — available now): Players will enjoy a cyberpunk storyline about innovative ways to communicate with machines and the possibilities offered by the Cybernetics Faith and Synthetic Fertility origins. Solving moral and social issues that will arise in a cybernetic space empire is crucial to overcoming a new threat looming over the galaxy... or to become a new threat themselves, transcending time and space and shaping reality in their own image.
Rick The Cube Species Portrait (available now): A unique portrait featuring three distinct phenotypes, each with unique animations.
Cosmic Storms (release in Q2 2026): Cosmic storms sweep across the galaxy. You must keep an eye on forecasts, preparing your empire to face this new threat, while also leveraging new opportunities — as the storm may weaken your enemies. The expansion will feature numerous types of cosmic storms that move from system to system in the galaxy, sowing chaos (or providing powerful bonuses) to empires across the galaxy. There will also be new technologies to predict the storm and influence its direction, alongside new civilian models and a new origin related to this mysterious galactic phenomenon.
Grand Archive (release in Q2 2026): In the Grand Archive storyline pack, players will discover the rarest treasures of space — both living and non-living. They will assemble an unprecedented collection of xenogeological artifacts, relics of forgotten civilizations, and manual cosmic fauna in the Great Archive.
Additionally, the Astral Planes expansion has become available for Stellaris: Console Edition. Traveling through rifts in space and time allows you to glimpse strange, new realities, provided you can navigate through numerous wonders and dangers.
