The long-awaited 11th level vehicles have arrived in "World of Tanks"

"[World of Tanks](/games?search=World of Tanks)" presents a significant update 1.32 titled "Alpha," which will forever change the game. Since the project's inception until now, level 10 tanks have been the pinnacle of all upgrade branches, but now the 11th level of tank development has been introduced. In addition to the long-awaited 11th level, the "Alpha" update brings a new class of close combat vehicles, the assault self-propelled guns, and a new branch of flame tanks, a map named "Kaliningrad" with unique musical accompaniment, a new garage, and the return of the common chat for communication with the opposing team. Every player will be able to complete Personal Combat Missions (PCM) "New Horizons", and the bravest can choose a set of particularly challenging combat tasks called "Attestation".

"This massive update radically changes the gameplay, lifting the restrictions of level 10 that have existed since the game's release. Millions of players have reached level 10, driven the legendary "IS-7" and "Maus", but now, with the appearance of level 11, this is not the limit. All owners of level 10 tanks, who considered the game complete, are now faced with a new incredible challenge, and we are really talking about tens of millions of tankers across the country. Besides the introduction of level 11, this update includes ten colossal changes in mechanics, gameplay, and vehicles" — comments Boris Sinitsky, the operational director of "World of Tanks".

Level 11 tanks are already in the game

With the release of the "Alpha" update, new apex predators have appeared in "World of Tanks": Object 279, MBT-B, and BZT-70 with a special modification and a new round, APFSDS, as well as improved field modernization.

Object 279 or "Lunokhod" — an invulnerable breakthrough tank with powerful frontal armor and remarkable mobility provided by its multi-track design.

MBT-B — this hybrid of medium tanks and heavy tanks is used as support, capable of tanking both with its hull and turret. Its high maneuverability allows it to frequently change positions and retreat, and it can deal huge damage in mere seconds.

The BZT-70 tank — this gigantic machine on four tracks can deal a single devastating damage of 1050 units, which is far from the limit. The tank is equipped with an "Electromechanical Amplifier" to enhance firing comfort. However, its gigantic size makes it slow and consequently more vulnerable to the enemy.

For all level 11 vehicles, there is an armor-piercing fin-stabilized discarding sabot (APFSDS) with a unique damage dealing mechanic that allows this technology to gain additional advantages in battle. APFSDS turns high damage from a shot into colossal damage while maintaining reload speeds, and its damage parameters are not subject to randomness.

"Project Orbit"

Unlocking unique level 11 vehicles is possible thanks to the new gameplay mechanic "Project Orbit," which, in addition to the long-awaited technology, also provides the opportunity to obtain premium or promotional tanks of levels 8-10, special styles, exclusive crew members, and access to the Assault SPG branch.

PCM 3.0 "New Horizons"

The "New Horizons" campaign in "World of Tanks" is a special system of combat tasks combined into sequential operations. Players who complete all three operations with distinction will receive an incredibly royal reward — a super-heavy dual-barreled level 11 tank, along with unique vehicles: the American ARMT, TF-2 CLARK, and the French Projet Murat. Most players will be able to complete the tasks successfully and receive these tanks, and the tasks can be completed with vehicles of any nation and class, the only limitation being the vehicle level. PCM has always been a challenge for players, and the "New Horizons" campaign is no exception. The "Attestation" will serve as a test of mastery for the best — a set of special tasks that must be completed with distinction.

New class of vehicles — Assault SPGs

At the same time as the level 11 tanks, a new class of vehicles has appeared: Assault SPGs. This close-range artillery with a firing range of up to 200 meters can deal damage without the stunning mechanic in contrast to classic "arty". The main task of the SPGs is to assist in pushing the frontline, and the maximum number of SPGs per team will be 3. These machines are sturdier than usual, have serious frontal armor, and their maneuverability compensates for the low chassis turning speed. The assault SPGs are also equipped with adjustable aiming angle.

Vehicles of this class operate on the first and second lines, best used as support machines, as they fire in an arc over a short distance.

Kaliningrad

The "World of Tanks" team continues to work on the diversity of locations that introduce players to significant historical and architectural sites. In the "Alpha" update, "Kaliningrad" appears — a new winter urban location with hilly areas near the frozen Pregolya River, reflecting the architectural style of the real city. Here you can see the cathedral, the drama theater building, the museum of fine arts, as well as other famous landmarks and significant places. The musical accompaniment for this map was recorded on the organ of the Kaliningrad Cathedral, which is the largest organ in Russia.

Garage

With the release of the "Alpha" update, the appearance of the garage has changed, as well as some elements of its interface. Throughout the update, the garage will undergo several transformations coinciding with particularly important dates.

Assembly Shop

The familiar Assembly Shop is back for many players. With the "Alpha" update, players can build a heavy assault premium tank of China at level 8 with excellent frontal armor and decent single shot damage. A pleasant feature of the assembly shop is that tasks can be completed not only in random battles but also in all modes of the "Alpha" update.

Common Chat

With the release of the "Alpha" update, players regained the ability to communicate with the opposing team. The rules of conduct in chat have not been canceled, so politeness is required. The option to disable chat in the settings is also available.

Flame-throwing Heavy Tanks

Heavy tanks equipped with flamethrower weapons with automatic firing modes have appeared in the game. A different system has replaced the classic reloading system, requiring control of the heating — if neglected, the weapon will deal less damage and eventually overheat. A total of four new flamethrower tanks will emerge, all available in the USA branch: M4A3FL, TF-3, TF-4, and Astron-FL.

Rebalance

With update 1.32 comes one of the largest rebalancing of vehicles: improvements have been made to the IS-7, T95/FV4201 Chieftain, K-91, ST-II, "Object 140", Type 5 Heavy, T-54, Tiger II, IS-3, Löwe, and many other machines.
