The Tetris movie is on its way!
Riding the wave of popularity for game adaptations across a variety of genres and directions, franchise manager The Tetris Company and animation studio TeamTO have begun developing an animated series based on 'Tetris' — the most famous arcade puzzle game of the 20th century.
According to the announcement, Tetris: World Builders will tell the story of a brave team of 'world builders' who must improve and adapt their world using ingenuity, teamwork, and scientific-creative-engineering thinking (known in English as Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math, or STEAM for short).
The plan is for 52 episodes of 11 minutes each, created in 3D computer animation. Chuck Williams, a veteran who contributed to the creation of Disney animated films and recent Sonic movies, is also involved in the project.
