FAQ about the game's characters. Who, where, how?
This is a small guide that will help you find former companions, save old friends, and even resolve a couple of conflicts.

First, we need to find our former teammates. I won't mention those who will be in our party, that's obvious. But, as you probably know, we can meet all companions from previous games if they survived.
1. Can I meet Zaeed?
Yes. There will be a quest about the volus ambassador working for "Cerberus" at the Citadel. During the investigation, Shepard will encounter Zaeed.
2. Where can I find Kasumi?
Kasumi appears in a quest given by the salarian Yodnum Bau from "G.O.R." at the Citadel.
3. Will I meet Grunt?
Yes, in the mission "Missing Scouts."
4. Where is Miranda hiding?
Miranda will send Shepard a letter proposing to meet. If you ignore it, you will only see her on Horizon.
5. Where can I find Jacob?
In the mission to rescue the "Cerberus" scientists.

6. Where is Samara? Morinth?
We meet Samara/Morinth during the mission at the Ardat-Yakshi monastery.
7. Will I see Jack?
Yes, we will meet her at Grissom Academy.
8. Where can I find Tain?

9. Where is Diana Allers? And why do I need her?
Diana is in docks D24. We meet her as soon as we arrive at the Citadel. She is needed for Shepard's "PR" in the Galaxy. And that means additional military assets.
10. Can I meet Kelly?
Yes, at the Citadel, if you had a romance with her.

It is known that companions sometimes die, and this is not pleasing to everyone. How can we avoid unwanted deaths?
1. How can I save Miranda?
Miranda can be saved under the following conditions:
- You spoke with her three times before the mission on Horizon;
- She was loyal in Mass Effect 2;
- You warned her about Kai Leng;
- You provided her access to Alliance data.
2. Can Grunt be saved?
If Grunt was loyal in Mass Effect 2, he will survive even while saving the rachni queen.

3. Can I save Tain?
No. Tain dies. He himself says he needs medical care and has lived longer than he hoped.
4. Can Mordin be saved?
Yes. The following conditions must be met:
- Melon's recordings were destroyed;
- Eve died;
- Do not mention the rift in the veil until you are near the tower;
- Convince Mordin that it is too early to treat the genophage (this is possible with enough reputation points).
Then Mordin sends the empty lift, and he survives.
5. How can I save Anderson?
No way. You can only delay his death. That is, he will not die by the Ghost's hand but from his injuries a little later.
6. Which other companions can die, and how to avoid it?
**Tali** - will jump off a cliff if allowed Legion to transfer data to the geth without reconciling the geth and quarians.
Rex - if the genophage is not cured, he will get angry and Shepard will shoot him.
Ashley/Kaidan - she/he can be killed during the "Hunting Udina" if you fail to convince your companion that Udina is a bad person and Shepard is good.
Morinth - will be turned into a banshee. Dies like a regular banshee.
Samara - will try to commit suicide when the Ardat-Yakshi monastery is destroyed to save her last daughter. You need to stop this attempt in time.
Legion - dies regardless of whether you helped the quarians, the geth, or reconciled these races.
Kelly - dies if you tell her to stay and care for the sick in the docks. She can be saved by asking her to change her identity and appearance.
Kasumi - if you do not complete the loyalty mission in Mass Effect 2, she dies.
I Wanna Be Loved By You
It is no secret that in Mass Effect 3 you can continue an existing romance (including with characters who are not part of the companions in Mass Effect 3) or start a new one.

1. Can I start a romance with any of the new characters?
Not with all.
With James Vega, only light flirtation is possible.
With Diana Allers, you can sleep together after the second interview.

2. Can I start a romance with Joker?
No. But you can set him up with EDI.
3. I didn't have a romance with Garrus and Tali in Mass Effect 2. Can I seduce them?
No. Relationships with Tali, Garrus, Jack, and Miranda are possible only if there was a romance in Mass Effect 2.

How to reconcile the geth and quarians?
The truce depends on several factors. In total, you need 5-7 points. If less, it will not be possible.
