"Korea. IL-2 Game Series" will be available in early access on June 25th
1C Game Studios has announced the exact release date for the early access of the game "Korea: Il-2 Series". It will be on June 25, 2026, and the pre-order will still be available until the release, the date of which will be announced later.
"Korea" is a next-generation game in the "Il-2" series. It is built on a new engine, utilizes an updated damage and flight model.
Players will have control over eight meticulously recreated aircraft from that era based on actual blueprints, photographs, and documents:
★ MiG-15bis
★ Il-10
★ Yak-9P
★ La-11
★ F-86A-5 "Sabre"
★ F-80C-10 "Shooting Star";
★ F-84E "Thunderjet"
★ F-51D "Mustang"
In addition to the aircraft, the battlefield and sky will feature dozens of vehicles, including B-29 bombers, as well as meticulously crafted ground vehicles, trains, and ships.
The action takes place on the largest map in the series' history—over 200,000 square kilometers. This is not modern Korea but a region from the early 1950s, recreated based on historical documents. The map includes dozens of airbases with accurate layouts, hundreds of populated areas, ports, and dams. All of this is connected by an extensive transportation network.
Other features of the game:
- "Museum Mode." A personal hangar where you can explore cockpits, controls, and the history of the technology.
- "Career Mode." Command of an air regiment, management of personnel, logistical support, and news reading of that time.
- Accessibility. Detailed control of systems for enthusiasts, but without the need to memorize complex sequences of actions.
- Equipment support: gamepads, desktop joysticks, HOTAS systems, VR via OpenXR and OpenVR.
