Modern Warfare Collection or what the New Disk hides
A strange trend has emerged among our localizers — releasing cool editions of their main hits and not officially telling anyone about it. Shall we play "collect them all"? Well, it was possible to get Skyrim from 1C-Softclub, now it's the [Modern Warfare](/games?search=Modern Warfare) Collection from New Disk. It includes the first and third parts (the second was with 1C-SK) in a beautiful steelbook, available for example here, retail price 999 rubles. The top image has nothing to do with the post.
As you can see, in the images from Ozon, there are some stickers on the front and back of the steelbook, but I ripped them off immediately. It's hard to come up with a more elegant package than a black metal box with the title engraved.
Of course, this packaging was not invented by New Disk. In the world, it (in an empty form) was a bonus for pre-orders or a gift for the first buyers. In the West, there are two versions of the steelbook: a cheap one...
And an expensive one.
My photograph is the second one, which is nice. Here is the disc holder:
The design of the packaging shows deep contempt for PC players, who had the second and third parts on two DVDs. Well, at least New Disk pretended that it was planned that way and that the second part was never intended for this. Under the discs, there are a Steam key for MW3 and a regular multiplayer key for the first part. They didn't invent anything new and took the key-discs from the regular editions. The poster is also from the MW3 collector's edition, identical (photos will be taken from the review rav3N):
Also, this steelbook has a phenomenal ability to look terrible in photographs. Of course, I took a picture of its cover layout, but if you are a faint-hearted, pregnant fanboy of "Call of Duty" — better not look.

In reality, it is beautiful and shiny, everything is a provocation!
If you bought a key on the board, this edition is a great reason to pay your last respects to retail and get an impressive package for the entire chronicle of the fall of Infinity Ward epic trilogy. There definitely weren't enough of such steelbooks in our market.
