At Comic Con Igromir 2026, the second presentation of the professional comic industry award "Canon" will take place.
This year at the Comic Con Igromir festival, the professional award "Canon" will again be presented with the support of the comic book publisher BUBBLE. Experts will evaluate works in 13 categories, and the winners will be awarded on stage at the festival in December.
Among the jury experts will be: the director of the comic book store "Twenty-Eighth" Aleksey Shpakovsky, comic book artist, illustrator, screenwriter Aleksey Khromogin, founder of BUBBLE Comics, screenwriter, producer, comic book author Artyom Gabrelyanov, co-founder of the comic book store "Chuk and Geek", comic researcher Ivan Chernyavsky, comic artist, podcaster, presenter, teacher Valentin Potkin, and the author of the comic "Serega" Alyona Stastina. Last year, Aleksey Khromogin and Alyona Stastina became laureates of the "Canon" award as the best screenwriter and author of the best comic series, respectively.
Award categories: best screenwriter, best artist, best colorist, best cover, best design and layout, best comic book, best comic series, best adaptation of a Western comic, best adaptation of an Eastern comic, best webtoon, best children's comic, best new project, and "For Contribution to the Industry".
Nominees for the award are proposed by publishers, comic book stores, and influencers. The shortlist for the award will be announced in November, and the winners will be awarded on stage at the Comic Con Igromir festival at the "Timiryazev Center" from December 3 to 6.
The "Canon" award supports both new authors and established professionals in the comic book genre, as well as honors masters of the genre for their contribution to the development of the industry. In 2025, the award for contribution to the industry was received by the artist and comic book author Bohdan ("Skunk and Ocelot", "Nika").
