New Expansion for the IL-2 Series: 'Odessa and Leningrad - Defense and Liberation'
1C Game Studios announces the development of a new expansion for the "Great Battles" series. Early access to the project "[IL-2 Sturmovik](/games?search=Ил-2 Штурмовик): Odessa and Leningrad - Defense and Liberation" is now available on the official website.
Unlike other expansions, "Defense and Liberation" will feature two large maps: Odessa and Leningrad. The early access version already includes the map of Odessa, the famous I-153 biplane "Chayka," and the LaGG-3 Series 4 fighter. The map of Leningrad and six more aircraft will be added in the coming months.
The map of Odessa covers parts of the Ukrainian and Moldovan SSRs and Romania. You will fight over Odessa, making flights over the Dniester, Prut, and other rivers. The new extensive game map is densely populated - it currently features 650 settlements, 27 railway stations, and 48 airfields.
Key Features of the Expansion:
Eight meticulously recreated aircraft with cockpits. The I-153 "Chayka" and LaGG-3 Series 4 are already available; the remaining aircraft (Yak-1 Series 23, Yak-3 Series 9, "Messerschmitt" Bf 109 E4, Ju 87 D5 "Stuka," La-7, and IL-2 model 1944) will be added to the game later.
The map of Odessa (part of the Ukrainian and Moldovan SSRs and Romania).
The map of Leningrad (part of Finland and Leningrad Oblast) will appear in the game closer to the release date.
