New Route — To the Heart of China
Full speed ahead! Publisher Kalypso Media and developer Gaming Minds Studios are presenting Railway Empire 2 – Steel Dragons, a new expansion for the popular economic simulation series. Lay the foundation for the world's largest railway network by connecting key cities and vital industries across China. Railway Empire 2 - Steel Dragons will be released on October 28 for PC (Steam, Epic Games), Xbox (PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One), and PlayStation®4|5.
Create the foundation for the world's largest railway network, linking cities and industrial enterprises across the country. Work alongside Zhan Tianyou, the 'father of the Chinese railway', to turn the first tracks into a source of national pride — the basis for the country's development and progress.
The expansion will feature three major transport hubs: Shanghai, Beijing, and Lanzhou; three new scenarios: 'Humble Beginnings' (1880), 'Journey to the West' (1890), and 'Bicycles and Fireworks' (1900); as well as unique challenges, changing market conditions, and strategic tasks.
Lay tracks to the most remote corners of China: from the shores of the East China Sea, along the Yellow River, through forests inhabited by pandas, and up the slopes of majestic mountains in the west. The new map of China is available in the game as one large region or as five detailed sections.
Eight new Chinese locomotives will be added to the railway fleet, including the 'Rocket of China' and 'Shenli 8'. The expansion will also feature 20 types of regional cargo — from traditional medicine products and bamboo to silk, gunpowder, and fireworks. Build a vast railway empire of the Middle Kingdom, driven by steam, steel, and ambition!
