Samurai Crow Update for Lineage 2 Essence — Released!

On November 5, 2025, the first simultaneous release of the update for Lineage 2 Essence took place in Russia, Europe, Japan, Taiwan, the USA, Korea, and other countries. The new content includes a new character class — Samurai. This is an exclusive class of the Kamael race. According to the legend, part of the kamael was sent to the distant continent after losing a wing. Having lost the ability to fly, the exiles did not give up and mastered a new combat style based on the katana sword.

The Samurai, a melee warrior, possesses dozens of skills — from instant dashes and knockdown moves to stun attacks and combos of increasing power. As a deadly finisher, the character awakens the demon Oni — the guardian of Hell. Beginner warriors summon an astral copy of the beast, while true masters become its embodiment.

The update also strengthened a number of existing classes. The Duelist received two new abilities: “Blade's Radiance”, which increases physical attack and critical strike power, and “Crossed Blades”, which enhances the potency of basic combat skills. Bards — Virtuoso and Phantom Dancer — acquired supportive abilities “Song of the Cosmos” and “Dance of the Cosmos”, which boost physical attack, critical hit chance and power, as well as provide a damage bonus from physical attacks.

The Master of Archery received four new skills, including “Frosty Stab” with a suppression effect and “Heart of the Wind”, enhancing critical hits.

Melee classes now have special bonuses for leveling up in locations: Rakshasa Camp, Hot Springs, Melat Lizard Camp, Shifting Mirage, and Forbidden Gates. When hunting monsters, characters using melee weapons gain the effect “Melee Advantage”. It increases speed by 30 units and provides a 30% bonus to experience and SP for two minutes. The enhancement affects more than 20 classes, including Duelist, Titan, Warlord, Phoenix Knight, Avatar, Varg, and other melee fighters.

The players' faithful companions — Guardians — have also been enhanced. Their skills became stronger, a new bonus was introduced for wearing a full equipment set, and a special Guardian Pendant was added, allowing the pet to avoid spending spirit and soul charges while attacking.

Thanks to the update, players have access to new items, including four new agathions of the Spirit Kings: Fire Spirit King Ignis, Water Spirit Queen Nebula, Wind Spirit King Prochella, and Earth Spirit King Petram. These can be obtained by synthesizing regular elemental agathions to level 10 and above. A new doll — Mafia Boss Luciano — has also emerged, which increases maximum health and mana, physical attack, knockdown resistance, and a bonus to received experience. Special attention is drawn to a new type of Dragon Weapon — the staves of Valakas, Lindvior, Fafurion, and Antharas. Each has a unique activated skill that summons a dragon avatar for a powerful attack on targets. They can be obtained by crafting from Ice Monarch Staff +10. On the release day, two new servers — Samurai1 and Samurai2 — will launch with a separate inter-server cluster. These are PvE worlds where player battles are available only in special zones and strictly from 8:00 PM to 12:00 AM MSK. Players can engage in a series of exciting activities: from simultaneous invasions of 30+ raid bosses to battles with legendary dragons Valakas, Antharas, and Fafurion. But the main feature of the servers is the hunting economy. Gamers earn adena by defeating monsters and then purchase equipment and supplies in the in-game store or in the crafting forge. Success will depend solely on the effort put in.

Those who pre-register before December 3, 2025, will receive exclusive rewards: Samurai Path Earrings, Mask of the Hidden in Foliage, and Samurai Bento.
