Memo to Casanova
It's well known that all our surviving companions have returned in one way or another in the third part. What does this mean? Correct. You can try to revive old relationships, or you can try to build new ones.

There can be only one!
Initially, you can flirt with all the available characters, but there is what's called a "point X" where you will have to choose one single partner, thus cutting off the possibility of romance with other characters.
Gulchatay, show your face!
Every character has such a moment:
- For Ashley and Kaiden — it's a conversation in the Presidium café.
- For Tali — a conversation in the cabin (if you miss it, the romance is cut off) or after the mission "Priority: Horizon".
- For Garrus — a date at the Citadel.
- For Stephen — a meeting in the "Purgatory" club.
- For Liara — a conversation at the Citadel after "Priority: Citadel 2".
- For Samantha — a "chess game".
- For Jack — a conversation at the Citadel in the "Purgatory" club.
The last opportunity to decide on your romantic interest comes before the attack on the Ghost base. But keep in mind that the "revived" romances from Mass Effect 2 must be completed much earlier. In the best traditions of Shepard, we will witness a romantic scene with the chosen partner before we attack the base.
Let’s not break the tradition, right, Kaiden?
Before the final battle for Earth, we will also have a chance to say goodbye to our loved ones, even if they are not nearby, like Jack, for instance.
"Casanova's Memorandum"
Ashley Williams
Do you remember Ashley? Saved by the knight Shepard on Eden Prime, she still loves Tennyson's poetry and has a soft spot for Shepard. So if your character had a romance with Ashley in the first part, arm yourself with a volume of poetry and go for the revival of feelings. But even if there wasn't a romance in the first part, it will be possible in the third.
Winning Ashley over is simple. She still loves Shepard, although she is suspicious of him due to his ties with "Cerberus."
What needs to be done for the romance with Ashley to activate?
1. Visit her in the hospital.
2. It wouldn't hurt to give her a book of Tennyson. It can be found in the Presidium shop. This will lift Ashley's mood and endear her to the captain even more.
3. After the mission "Priority: Palaven", don’t forget to meet with her again.
4. Don't kill Ashley when she defends Udina.
5. Go on a date with Ashley in the Presidium.
Only a male character can romance Ashley.
Diana Allers
Diana Allers is a typical lucky reporter. Persistent and self-assured, she can easily blow up a scandal literally "out of nothing". Starting a romance with her is simply too easy.
What’s needed?
1. Take her on board.
2. Visit her in the engineering section room.
3. Restrain yourself from kicking her off the ship.
4. Give her interviews.
5. When she drops by Shepard's cabin, invite her in, give her an interview, and don’t forget to shamelessly flirt. This will be the start of your relationship, unless Shepard declares he only wants to talk in front of cameras.
Diana is a romantic interest for characters of all genders.
Jack
Jack has changed. No, she is still sarcastic and sharp-tongued, but now she has the responsibility of her biotic students, for whom she would tear apart anyone. Jack will be glad to see Shepard, which doesn’t prevent her from hitting him in the smug red face in the face.
If you had a romance with this unbalanced lady in the second game, the path to her heart is still not lost.
What needs to be done?
1. Meet Jack during the mission "Grissom Academy: Evacuation".
2. Don’t be rude to her, be polite.
3. After the mission, in the shuttle, press the button with the renegade symbol when possible.
4. Go to the Citadel when Jack calls.
5. Find her in the "Purgatory" club, don't be rude, and say that you still want her.
6. Convincing Jack to resume the relationship will result in losing the chance to flirt with anyone else.
Jack's romance is only possible for those who had it in [Mass Effect 2](/games?search=Mass Effect 2).
Note: Don't expect explicit scenes with Jack.
Jacob Taylor
If you had a romance with Jacob in the second part, feel free to disregard him and look for a new object of desire. Jacob may love Shepard, but it's worth noting that he has a child with Dr. Cole. Romance is impossible.
Kaiden Alenko
Kaiden may return aboard the "Normandy", and also in Shepard's bed. In fact, if you had a romance with Kaiden in the first part, the major will start dusting off the relationship right from the first meeting and won't hide his feelings for the captain. But even if you had nothing with Kaiden in the first game, it’s not too late to change that.
What needs to be done for the romance with Kaiden to activate?
1. Visit him in the hospital.
2. It would be a nice gesture to give him TM-88 whiskey from the shop in the hospital. This will lift Kaiden's spirits.
3. After the mission "Priority: Palaven", don’t forget to visit him again.
4. Don’t kill Kaiden when he’s defending Udina.
5. Go on a date with Kaiden in the Presidium. Respond to his "love advances."
The romance with Kaiden can be pursued by characters of any gender.
Relationships with him are possible even if you didn’t import the character.
Liara T'Soni
Liara has changed significantly. If in the first part we saw a naive little archaeologist, in the third part she is already a self-confident businesswoman. She loves the captain, has always loved him, regardless of whether the feelings are mutual or not. So even if you didn't have a romance with Liara in the first part, you can still pursue one.
What needs to be done?
1. Talk to Liara after each mission.
2. Chat with Liara at the café in the Presidium.
3. Discuss her project with her in the cabin. When she starts talking about friendship, respond that you want to be more than friends.
4. After the mission at the Ardat-Yakshi monastery, meet with Liara at the Citadel. Choose the option "more than friends."
Note: at the beginning of the game, characters who had a romance with Liara will be offered to renew the relationship. But for now, these are just words that don’t bind you to the blue-skinned beauty.
Liara is a romantic interest for characters of all genders.
Miranda Lawson
Miranda... the perfect "Cerberus" toy that Shepard broke. Miranda left "Cerberus", but not Shepard, if you had a relationship with her in [Mass Effect 2](/games?search=Mass Effect 2). Lawson does not join the crew, but that won’t prevent her relationship with the captain.
How to rekindle feelings?
1. Talk to Miranda in the docks.
2. Communicate with her through the Spectre terminal.
3. Meet her in her apartment in the Presidium. This is where you can rekindle romance and have a good time.
Note: tell her about Kai Leng, give her access to Alliance data. This will help you save her.
Thane Krios
The green knight with sad eyes. A dying knight... Romance with Thane is impossible. He still loves Shepard if she had a romance with him in the second part, but he no longer has the strength nor can he survive without medical care anymore.
So... a kiss and conversations — that’s all this poor Thane can offer. You can stay with Thane until his passing, then shift your attention to someone more resilient, as the romance will never activate.
Garrus Vakarian
The rebellious soldier of the STG, Archangel, turian, friend... for some female characters, more than a friend. If you had a romance in [Mass Effect 2](/games?search=Mass Effect 2), you can continue your pursuit of the turian.
What needs to be done?
1. After the mission "Priority: Palaven", talk to Garrus. Here you can renew the old relationships or decline them. But even if you agree to continue, Shepard can still flirt with anything that moves and flirts.
2. Talk to Garrus after the mission on Tuchanka.
3. Go on a date with Garrus at the Citadel. Here you can confirm your intention to date, or refuse the relationship with Garrus.
Note: if you have no relationship with Garrus or Tali, then they will be together.
Tali'Zorah nar Rayya
The most mysterious girl in the entire game. Sweet, somewhat naive quarian, absolutely unable to drink, Tali can become the object of Shepard's affection if they had a romance in [Mass Effect 2](/games?search=Mass Effect 2).
Returning to the relationship is quite easy:
1. After the mission "Priority: Dreadnought Geto", Tali will return to the team. She will immediately offer to resume the relationship.
- During side missions, but before the "Priority: Horizon" mission, Tali will send a message with an invitation to meet. If you miss this moment and do not invite her to the cabin, the romance with Tali will be impossible.
2. Talk to Tali at the Citadel before the "Priority: Horizon" mission.
3. After the "Cerberus Headquarters" mission, talk to a slightly tipsy Tali on the "Normandy" in the bar.
4. Don't let her die on Horizon.
5. After the "Priority: Horizon" mission, talk to Tali in the engineering section of the "Normandy".
Kelly Chambers
Kelly left "Cerberus" when Shepard went to Earth. Now she is their enemy. So when "Cerberus" attacks the Citadel, Kelly could be killed. You can avoid this by asking her to change her name and appearance. Then you will see each other again in the docks and may even have a private moment. But a full-fledged romance with Kelly is not possible.

Samantha Traynor
Replacement for Kelly. Talkative, cute, but quite annoying assistant girl. Men do not interest her, but a woman-Shepard...
How to win Samantha's heart?
1. Chat with her between missions. She always has something to say, so there will be plenty of conversations.
2. After the mission "Priority: Citadel 2", Traynor will offer to play chess. Invite her to your cabin. When she goes to take a shower, you can join her.
Stephen Cortez
Lieutenant Cortez is saddened by the death of his husband. Yes, indeed, Stephen is a romantic interest for male characters.
How to start a relationship with him?
1. Talk to him between missions.
2. Convince him to go to the Citadel.
3. Meet him in the docking bay of the "Normandy".
4. Meet him at the refugee camp.
