Easter eggs, references, and other interesting things in Magic
Star Wars
I will start with the titles of the first six chapters. They replicate the title of all the episodes of Star Wars in the same order:
Magicka
Star Wars
The Phantom Menace
The Phantom Menace
Attack of the Goblins
Attack of the Clones
Revenge of the Wizards
Revenge of the Sith
A New Hope
A New Hope
The Havindr Strikes Back
The Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Wizard
Return of the Jedi
Star Wars. Part 2
Another reference to Star Wars is the Black Wizard Boss, who appears in the fifth chapter after the Machine. After defeating him, the King frees himself from chains, takes the black wizard, and tosses him into an open pit.
After the confrontation with Luke, Emperor Palpatine (also known as Darth Sidious) meets his end in the same way at the hands of Darth Vader.
300 Spartans
Next on the list is a reference to the movie "300 Spartans." It consists of the Havindr soldier standing with his back to the pit and saying, "This is madness!!!," to which the King replies, "Madness??!" However, the encounter doesn’t end with a collision into the pit. Although, you can do it yourself, and for such a feat, you will be rewarded with an achievement on Steam called "This is Magicka!"
Friday the 13th
Continuing the movie theme, we head to Crystal Lake. Yes, the very same where Jason ruthlessly dealt with silly American teenagers in the "Friday the 13th" series of films.
If you didn't notice - the lake is in the upper left corner.
One can only assume that perhaps one day we will visit it...
Games Workshop
In the second chapter, you can encounter the blacksmith's hut with a slightly altered logo of "Games Workshop." Also, on the anvil lies a Space Marine's hammer, which leaves no doubt.
Hastur - the King in Yellow
Assatur, the King in Yellow from Magicka, resembles Hastur, a character from the Cthulhu myths, who is also the King in Yellow.
Count Dracula
Count Vlad bears a strong resemblance to Count Dracula. Although vampires live forever, Vlad is not Dracula. In his castle hangs his portrait as well as that of Vlad III the Impaler. Vlad III the Impaler is considered the "father" of the Dracula image.

In DLC
In the DLC, references can also be spotted. For example, the DLC Vietnam clearly parodies the expansion Battlefield Bad Company 2: Vietnam.
Though I think it looks more like the original picture:
In the DLC "The Stars are Left," there is also a portal. In one of the levels, you can find the Magicka spell "Portal" that opens the entrance and exit of the portal. They are also blue and orange in color.
Also, everyone was given a cyber robe and a "robe" of the Space Marine for free. In the "Gamer Bandle DLC," there are zombies from Half-Life.
Additionally, in an interesting way, Arrowhead announced their future DLC "Dragonborn Wizard Robe."
In Achievements
"Kill Parker" - a nod to Peter Parker, Spider-Man from the Marvel comics.
"Oh my God, they killed the yellow one!" - a parody of [South Park](/games?search=South Park) and the phrase "Oh my God, they killed Kenny."
In Magicka, there is no orange robe.
This is likely not all the references. As I find more, I will add them to the post.

-Second Edition-
Excalibur
Here comes the second batch of interesting things. Let's start with Excalibur - the legendary sword of King Arthur. Since only the chosen one can pull the sword from the stone, our wizard friends thoughtlessly just took it along with the stone. After all, if the sword is legendary, the stone won't hinder it?
MacLeod
In the third level, we encounter MacLeod from the cult movie (series of films) "Highlander." Also, while talking to him, he uses the phrase "There can be only one!" which is similar in meaning (or may really be the same, with the difference being due to translation) to the phrase "There can be only one" that he said in the film.
The trailer, where that very phrase is present.
Role Playing Game
Many RPG games have side quests, and Magicka does too! Although, no, there is only one. But the main thing is that over the NPC who gives this quest, there is an exclamation mark. This is, of course, a parody of MMORPGs, where they are abundant.
In Achievements
Wingardium Leviosa - a spell from the Harry Potter book series (and later in the film series).
Steam - likely a testament to Magicka's "friendship" with Steam.
88 miles per hour - the speed required for time travel in the movie "Back to the Future."
One beam, two beams, or better yet, five beams!!! - an unsuccessful translation. In the original, it is called "IMMA FIRIN' MAH LAZER!!!!" This is the act of firing a laser, which came to us from the flash film "Syntax Error 2" and has become a commonplace occurrence.
MORE THAN NINE THOUSAND!!! - a meme that emerged from when the once-popular boys' anime "Dragon Ball Z" saw Vegeta measure Goku's power level and utter the fateful phrase, "IT’S OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAND!!!" thanks lurker by the way, the achievement icon heavily hints at this.
In the Japanese version, the power level is only 8000, but Americans added another thousand. ~~Thanks again, lurker.~~
I will soon add even more references, Easter eggs, and other interesting things.
