The gaming brand Predator, created by Acer, decided to boost its popularity in the most logical way possible — by organizing an esports tournament. The company actually joined the trend long ago — Predator League tournaments have been held since 2018 (primarily in the Asia-Pacific region) and regularly attract thousands of teams and millions of viewers.

Over the course of 8 years, 66 major tournaments have been held in 16 countries, and this year Predator League launched its first tournament in Russia, the Predator League Open Cup for the tactical shooter Valorant. Anyone except professional players can take part and show off their skills.

The competition will be held entirely online, giving gamers from every corner of the country an equal chance to win. At stake is an impressive prize pool of 500,000 rubles and the title of the first Russian champions of the Predator League Open Cup.

Valorant is a popular first-person tactical shooter from Riot Games, where two teams face off in fast-paced 5v5 battles. Each game is a tense duel in which victory depends not only on individual skill and pinpoint shooting, but also on agents’ unique abilities, strategic thinking, and teamwork.
