Victory Day Project "Letters That Continue to Live" in Tanks Blitz
From May 1 to 27, Tanks Blitz is hosting the event "Letters That Continue to Live," dedicated to Victory Day. The main content of the project is a special thematic Hangar. Upon opening it, players will find themselves in a wide green field with bright scarlet flowers, at the foot of a majestic monument. Above their heads is a starry sky, and nearby flows a river, where small boats slowly drift…
By clicking on one of the boats, players will hear a frontline letter from a real participant of the Great Patriotic War, written between 1941 and 1945. The letters themselves were taken from the book "The Popular Chronicle of the Great Patriotic War: Let Us Remember Everyone!" at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
On Victory Day, it is especially important to remember that ordinary people fought in the war, with their own thoughts, dreams, and plans for the future. They believed that Victory Day would come, and every day, they did their utmost to bring it closer. They continued to hope for a return home. Millions perished defending the peace of their loved ones and safeguarding the world for future generations. That is why it is so important to preserve the memory of the events and heroes of the past. And a simple paper boat has become a symbol of this memory – a symbol of the fragile but unbroken connection between people. — The Tanks Blitz development and operations team.
Also, as part of the project, there will be an initiative for the community. Players can send letters from the war years, messages from the front, or letters from home that have been preserved in their family archive to the developers. In the evening of May 8, on the eve of the holiday, these letters will be read on livestream, thereby immortalizing the memory of the individual.
