Blog Rules

2. Copy-pasting in the blog.

2.1 Copying materials from the site "Chronicles of Kaer Morhen" is only allowed with my personal permission. Only the viceroy, i.e., I, adds fresh news to the blog.

2.2 If you post copy-paste from other sources, you must indicate the author and provide a clickable link to the source in the visible part of the article (not under the spoiler) with a visible domain.

2.3. If you are the author, indicate this in the article. If your article is written using materials from different sources, indicate all of them; if there are too many, at least indicate the main ones.

3. Culture of Communication

3.1. The blog encourages polite and tolerant communication. Rude insults and profanity result in warnings, sheep, or even bans.

3.2. Feedback about the quality of work from companies involved in the development and publishing of the game should be constructive and polite. Attacks and insults against CMOs will end the same way as 3.1. (CD Projekt RED, 1C-Softclub, Snowball Studios).

4. The carrot and stick of this blog

4.1 The medal "Recommended by the Viceroy" is awarded only to original posts and very important news.

4.2 Not every original work is guaranteed to receive a medal. The degree of importance and extraordinary relevance of the news is determined by the viceroy subjectively. The post must be written correctly, have a quality design, tagged, etc. - i.e. no complaints should be raised.

4.3 Posts pinned in the blog receive similar criteria to the viceroy’s medal. But receiving one type of reward does not necessarily imply receiving the second.

4.4 The label "Bayan" is given to posts that are "dull copy-paste." The news is either uninteresting or uninformative, taken 1:1 from the source, lacks the author's personal insights, and the design makes the viceroy cry. A combination of these factors in different proportions can lead to an unfortunate outcome.

4.5 The incantation "Sink Post" can be applied as an additional measure to "Bayan" or instead of it.

4.6 The extreme measure - deleting the post to the trash is applied to posts whose aim is to incite disputes, which contain links to pirated products, duplicates of posts already existing fully or partially.

Tips and Recommendations

This blog always welcomes authors and news writers. However, everyone wishing to make a mark in the blog is strongly advised to remember that a well-formatted post looks three times better than one that is hastily put together.

1. Check the post for grammar, even if it’s copy-paste. Preferably in Word.

2. Break the post into logical parts. Use heading styles for separation. It’s better to separate paragraphs with a blank line.

3. Choose illustrations for your posts, even if it's copy-paste and they weren't in the original. For small news, one picture is enough; larger posts require a greater number of images.

4. Captions for pictures, if needed, are better placed under the image and highlighted in italics.

5. Don’t abuse tags. Sometimes too many is worse than too few. Know the measure in everything.

6. If in doubt, show the post to the viceroy. I won’t steal your ideas but will definitely suggest what can be improved in the post.

7. If the post fails the professional suitability check - it is sent to the trash without additional notification.
