The final of the Astrum League competition in Warface took place
From March 13 to 15 in Moscow, at the M. Gorky Film Studio, the main esports event of the year for the tactical shooter Warface took place – the final of the Astrum League. Eight of the strongest teams battled for a prize pool of 10,000,000 rubles.
The finalists were: WII, MajorTeam, UnionDequator, КозырныеТузы, БезПонтов, 8BIT.TEAM, and others. The winners of the tournament were the team UnionDequator, which defended its championship title won last year.
"We conducted a truly large-scale esports event that will be remembered for a long time by viewers, guests, and players! Once again, we are convinced that esports is a full-fledged industry with immense potential. We are happy to see the audience and interest in the tournament growing, and we are already planning new projects to attract even more players and viewers," – Denis Kryukov, head of media projects and esports at Astrum Entertainment.
Among the partners of the Astrum League, providing the event with everything necessary, as well as informational support, were organizations and brands such as Rostelecom Games, BLOODY, Citylink, Acer, VK PLAY, and Oklik. During the three days, the tournament was streamed on platforms YouTube, Twitch, VK Video, and in the official Warface community on VKontakte. The total number of views reached 7.3 million, and the peak audience reached 27.5 thousand viewers.
It is worth noting that the first gaming day (March 13) was held in a closed format, and the battles could only be seen in an online broadcast. However, the remaining two days of the tournament gathered participants and guests at the M. Gorky Film Studio, where several hundred fans could not only watch their favorite esports athletes live but also personally get autographs, take pictures at the stands, and participate in giveaways and lotteries! In the foyer, there was even a bar and a recreation area with retro consoles.
The group stage matches were played in a
