Light Prevails: Aion Classic Receives Major Update 'Lumines'

Fogame Platform has released a major update for the fantasy MMORPG Aion Classic, featuring new content, gameplay changes, and an updated monetization system.

The main event is the introduction of a new class — the luminary mage Lumines. According to the storyline, the heroine, who once fell in a fierce battle against the Balaurs, is reborn in the modern world of Atreia. This opportunity is granted to her by Sienora, who possesses power over time. Now Lumines, retaining memories of her past life, does everything to change the grim future and fate of the world. In battle, Lumines wields a unique weapon — a spatial sword — and dons woven armor. Her style combines magical power and swordsmanship expertise. Series of strikes with negative effects, enriched with elemental force, deal significant damage despite her being a magical class.

Players can also return to one of the most beloved locations from the old version of the game — Tiamaranta. Its appearance retains its recognizable atmosphere, but new details and mechanics have been added to the world. In the storyline, Tiamat, seeking to change her fate, has introduced her armies into the region and altered the landscape, raising part of the land into the sky to create a floating island. This location combines ground and aerial islands inhabited by powerful level 65 monsters. Players can reach the aerial territory using ground-based movement devices. Here, after dying, players can choose a resurrection point, allowing for a quick return to battle. Additionally, there is endless flight time on the airborne islands, opening up vast opportunities for combat and exploration. Meanwhile, in the ground part of Tiamaranta, raids take place against both main bosses (Sunayak, Golden Tat, and others) as well as new ones.

In the update, characters can raise their maximum level from 60 to 65 and acquire new skills, including 'Forte.' These are special abilities that are automatically learned upon entry and can enhance existing skills. Some 'forte' abilities can stack with old ones, providing players with additional advantages.

In 'Lumines,' there are three new dungeons for six players. The first — 'Fortress of Determination' — offers two options for completion. Inside the location are intermediate bosses. The more bosses defeated, the more time is allotted to fight the final boss. However, a group can immediately challenge the main opponent. If players achieve victory within the allotted time, they will receive rewards for all the defeated enemies.

The second dungeon — 'Maze of Return' — can be entered by a group of four or more people to earn a complete set of rewards. Upon defeating the main monster, players receive a treasure chest containing infernal or illusion weapons, as well as a bag of kinahs. Like 'Fortress of Determination,' this dungeon can be visited once a day.

The third dungeon — 'Secret Repository of Sunayak' — is exclusively available on the special Deradikon server. In it, players will face a powerful Balaur. The rewards are higher the faster the Balaur is defeated. In total, there are 12 chests hidden in the repository, but the most valuable trophies await in the first chests, which disappear before the others.

A separate change has been the transition to a new monetization model. Energy Siel has given way to the Blessing of Eternity. This provides access to trading between characters and the selection of items of rare rank and higher. For new players, unlocking requires a one-time purchase, while existing owners of Energy Siel will receive the Blessing of Eternity as a gift.
