The tactical shooter Warface returns to Steam and celebrates Halloween
On October 15, Warface became available on Steam. The multiplayer shooter returned to the platform after nearly a two-year hiatus, but unfortunately, progress cannot be transferred from VK Play, even for those who transferred progress from Steam to VK Play. However, the transition to Steam coincided with the celebration of Halloween.
In anticipation of the Halloween celebration, the game launched a themed event called "Night of Spirits" with an updated PvP mode called "Infection." At the start of each round, three random players become infected and after a few seconds turn into zombies. Their goal is to infect all surviving players. The humans must survive until the end of the four-minute round, avoiding infection and using power-ups that appear on the map. The side that can accomplish their objective before time runs out wins. The event takes place on festive maps "Motel," "Suburb," and "Ruins." Players will encounter atmospheric elements: ghosts, pumpkins, and unexpected jump scares that can frighten unsuspecting opponents.
By participating in the event, players will receive reputation points, which unlock guaranteed rewards. On the progression showcase, players can collect weapon cards from the mystical series "Demons," which includes the Chiappa Triple Threat, FAMAE SAF-200, M14 Crazy Horse, and the legendary Type 97 — a new contender for the title of top weapon for assault troops. Additionally, participants can look forward to the appearances of "Cyberwolf," "Cyberbear," and "Cybergrim Reaper," as well as a collection of weapon stickers compatible with the models A-545, PA EG240, and MSMC.
Along with the event, a new agent has been added to the game — Navya, a top-tier medic inspired by the comic "ChVK of Darkness." Her arsenal includes a unique axe called "Demon Slayer," and the character's visual design was created by the studio MOLOT HARDCORP.
