Display: Maximum Scale and High Smoothness
The Acer Nitro V 17 AI screen is designed to provide complete immersion in gameplay and a comfortable work experience with graphics. The refresh rate of the display up to 144/165 Hz and a matrix response time of 3 ms (GtG) allow for instant reactions to what happens in games, while the IPS matrix with Full HD or QHD resolution, depending on the chosen configuration, guarantees wide viewing angles of up to 170 degrees from all sides.
Additionally, the panel covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space, allowing the Acer Nitro V 17 AI laptop to be used for photo and video editing, ensuring accurate color reproduction. This is complemented by the matte Acer ComfyView coating, significantly reducing glare.
Intelligence of AMD Ryzen AI and Architecture of the Future
At the heart of the Acer Nitro V 17 AI are powerful AMD Ryzen AI 200-series processors — the Ryzen 5 240 with 6 cores and 12 threads or the Ryzen 7 260 with 8 cores and 16 threads. Both chips are built on the modern Zen 4 architecture. The presence of an integrated neural processor (NPU) allows the laptop to efficiently handle local AI tasks: from improving video quality during video calls to optimizing background system processes to raise FPS in demanding games.
Graphical Power of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 and DLSS 4.5
Interestingly, when using AMD's processors, the laptop employs the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card with 8 GB of ultra-fast GDDR7 video memory, compatible with DirectX 12 Ultimate.
A key advantage here is the support for the latest DLSS 4.5 technology and the upcoming DLSS 5.0, which utilize AI capabilities to generate additional frames and improve resolution without sacrificing performance.
The RTX 50-series architecture also offers improved energy consumption and hardware acceleration for streaming and video editing.
Control and Cooling: Acer NitroSense System
To maintain maximum performance, the Acer Nitro V 17 AI is equipped with an advanced cooling system with two powerful fans. Acer engineers implemented an efficient scheme for air intake and exhaust through four zones, preventing overheating even during prolonged gaming sessions.
Full control over the state of the Acer Nitro V 17 AI laptop is provided by the proprietary Acer NitroSense application. With a single press of a special key, the user opens the control panel, where they can adjust the fan speeds, switch between performance modes ("Quiet", "Balanced", "Turbo"), and monitor the temperature of individual components. All three modes can be individually customized.
Acer's Proprietary AI Technologies for Comfortable Communication
Among Acer's software developments, the laptop supports:
- The Acer PurifiedView technology, which uses AI for automatic framing, background blurring, and gaze correction during video calls, allowing one to look more professional in the frame.
- The Acer PurifiedVoice 2.0 system with three microphones, which effectively filters out background noise, highlighting the voice.
- The Acer ProCam feature, which automatically detects the brightest moments of gameplay and records them.
Interfaces and Battery Life
In addition to its internal capabilities, the Acer Nitro V 17 AI offers a full set of interfaces:
- USB4 port with speeds up to 40 Gbps for the fastest storage devices.
- Support for Wi-Fi 6E and RJ-45 socket for wired internet.
- Charging gadgets through the USB 3.2 port.
- microSD card slot.
- HDMI 2.1 port for connecting monitors and a combined 3.5 mm mini-jack for headsets.
The Acer Nitro V 17 AI has a built-in HD camera for video calls, a triple microphone, stereo speakers with DTS X:Ultra, and a full-size keyboard with 107 keys, featuring a numeric keypad and orange backlighting.
The 76 Wh battery is expected to provide up to 7.5 hours of autonomy for work and gaming, while AI-based power consumption optimization extends the runtime in lighter tasks.
This is the gamer laptop. Should we do a review?
