KT renews contract with coach Lee Kang-cheol for the best treatment in active duty

KT Wiz, a professional baseball team that finished second in the regular season, renewed a contract with coach Lee Kang-cheol as the best current head coach.

KT announced, “We signed a contract with coach Lee Kang-cheol for a three-year contract for a total of 2.4 billion won.”

Coach Lee Kang-cheol received better treatment than SSG coach Kim Won-hyung, who received 2.2 billion won for three years, which was the previous highest in the field.

Coach Lee Kang-cheol, who took office as KT's third coach in 2019, led the team to its first postseason in the 2020 season.

He was also recognized for his leadership in the 2021 season, including leading the team to a combined championship.
