Assassin’s Creed: Unity - multiplatform computer game in the action-adventure genre, developed by ten studios within the company Ubisoft. The game was traditionally released in the fall (in October 2014) for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. AC: Unity is the seventh game in the series.
After roaming around the cities, lands, and seas of the New World, Assassin's Creed returns to Europe once again. The choice of setting and historical period was significantly influenced by the fans of the series, among whom the developer company offered several options. Among them were Victorian England, Tsarist Russia, and Feudal Japan, but fans mostly voted for France, specifically Paris at the end of the 18th century. Thus, AC: Unity sends us straight into the heart of the Great French Revolution. The storming of the Bastille and the Jacobin dictatorship, battles on the barricades and encounters with outstanding and memorable figures (Marquis de Sade, Napoleon, Robespierre) - so much interesting awaits us as we progress through the main storyline. Additionally, there are a considerable number of side quests in the game: Ancestors' Tasks and Treasure Hunts, investigations of mysterious murders, and contract executions. Revolutionary Paris is a vast seamless world recreated with historical accuracy. Rooftops and streets, interiors of houses and palaces, secret underground catacombs and sewers… We will find ourselves in various locations while completing diverse missions!
The main character is Arno Dorian, a young man of Franco-Austrian descent, twenty years old. Like most main characters in the series, he experienced a personal tragedy in his youth, which compelled him to join the Assassin Brotherhood. Uncompromising, charismatic, goal-oriented, cunning, and ruthless, Monsieur Dorian possesses all the traits of a master assassin. And believe me, if anyone is destined to uncover the truth and reveal the identities of the true instigators of the revolution, it is him.
Arno is an experienced swordsman and nimble parkour runner, equipped with excellent stealth skills. He is capable of rapidly descending from rooftops to the street without resorting to a leap of faith, can engage in open combat with several attacking opponents at once, but can disappear instantly into a crowd of thousands or hide behind the nearest cover when necessary. The French assassin is well-armed. In addition to a saber for close combat, he carries multi-barreled repeat pistols and a hidden "phantom blade," which easily transforms into a mini crossbow. Moreover, an advanced skill tree allows the protagonist to develop, making him even nimbler, stealthier, and deadlier.
In addition to the single-player campaign, Unity introduces a cooperative mode for the first time in the entire history of the Assassin series, replacing multiplayer. Now, by forming a party of four friends, you can collaboratively complete a series of missions, including story ones. In addition to the skills and equipment obtained in single-player gameplay, participating in the cooperative allows the player to choose one of the unique special abilities for their character. Coordinate group actions with the specialization of your hero, and successful mission completion is guaranteed. Remember, nothing is true, and everything is permitted in the name of Freedom, Equality, and Brotherhood.
