Assassin’s Creed: Unity is a multi-platform computer game in the action-adventure genre, developed by ten studios within the Ubisoft company. The game was traditionally released in the fall (in October 2014) for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. AC: Unity is the seventh game in the series.
After roaming the cities, towns, and seas of the New World, Assassin's Creed returns to Europe. The choice of setting and historical period was significantly influenced by the fans of the series, who were offered several options by the developers. Among them were Victorian England, Tsarist Russia, and feudal Japan, but most fans voted for France, and more specifically for Paris in the late 18th century. Thus, AC: Unity takes us straight into the midst of the Great French Revolution. The storming of the Bastille, the Jacobin dictatorship, battles on the barricades, and encounters with outstanding and memorable figures (Marquis de Sade, Napoleon, Robespierre) - there is so much excitement awaiting us as we progress through the main storyline. Additionally, the game features a considerable number of side quests: Ancestor Missions and Treasure Hunts, investigations of mysterious murders, and fulfilling contracts. Revolutionary Paris is a vast seamless world, recreated with historical accuracy. The rooftops and streets, the interiors of houses and palaces, secret underground catacombs and sewers... We will visit numerous locations while completing a variety of missions!
The main character is Arno Dorian, a young man of Franco-Austrian descent, twenty years old. Like most protagonists in the series, he experienced a personal tragedy in his youth, which propelled him to join the Assassin Brotherhood. Uncompromising, charismatic, goal-oriented, cunning, and ruthless, Monsieur Dorian possesses all the traits of a master assassin. And believe me, if anyone is destined to uncover the truth and reveal the identities of the true instigators of the revolution, it is him.
Arno is an experienced swordsman and a nimble parkour practitioner, and he also possesses excellent stealth skills. He can quickly descend from rooftops to the street below without resorting to the leap of faith, engages in open combat against several attacking enemies simultaneously, but when necessary, he can instantly blend into the thousands of people in the street or hide behind the nearest cover. The French assassin is well-armed. In addition to a saber for close combat, he carries multi-barreled, repeat-action pistols and a hidden "phantom blade" that can easily transform into a mini-crossbow. In addition to the single-player campaign, Unity introduced a cooperative mode for the first time in the history of the Assassin series, replacing multiplayer. Now, you can team up with four friends to complete a range of missions, including story missions. In addition to skills and gear earned in single-player mode, participating in cooperative play allows players to choose one of the unique special skills for their character. Coordinate group actions based on your hero's specialization, and successful task completion is guaranteed.
