Saints Row: The Third is a third-person shooter with role-playing elements. Developed by Volition, Inc. for PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360. The third installment of the game continues the narrative of the so-called Saints from Third Street, facing insurmountable problems. Once a gang, they essentially legalized themselves after taking control of the city of Stilwater. They became recognizable, their names used as advertising for various brands, basking in luxury and being washed in power, but all good things must come to an end.
An international criminal organization with the catchy name "The Syndicate" felt its strength and, after a brief shootout, expelled the Saints from Stilwater. In turn, the Saints established themselves in a town called Stilport, where the main events of the game will take place.
In the new city, there are also gangs under the thumb of "The Syndicate," and to establish new power, the Saints will have to fight against three gangs represented by "Deckers," "Luchadores," and "Morning Star," an elite division of "The Syndicate." When the fighting literally explodes in the city, and rivers of blood flow through the streets, a fifth participant in the conflict will appear - Special Tactical Anti-Gang, a special government organization combating crime, which will be "pressing" both the Saints and their opponents.
Saints Row 3 still resembles its more famous sibling – the GTA series. The main character, the leader of the Saints, explores the territories that belong to him (or may not yet) by completing both story and side missions. Your protégé and his allies will have to reclaim bases from enemy gangs and settle scores with them, thereby establishing control over the territory. Victories bring various bonuses: money, cars, weapons, and respect, which plays the role of experience in Saints Row 3. With respect points, one can improve the character's skills. And with money, one can buy and upgrade everything else – set up the gang's headquarters, change the appearance and style of the Saints, acquire stores and other real estate in the city.
Players will be presented with various options for completing both regular missions and final ones. Sometimes one will have to decide whether to punish or spare, destroy or create. It all depends on your preferences. Although destruction can sometimes be more pleasurable, as it yields much more experience.
Destroying a skyscraper or calling in an airstrike on the positions of a rival gang – all this is possible in Saints Row 3. The game does not feature multiplayer; the developers decided to focus on refining the single-player campaign to perfection. However, the opportunity for cooperative gameplay remains.
