content auto translated from {from}

Hello dear readers of our almanac!

The third issue of our almanac has been released. We want to note that the almanac has become thicker, larger, and more informative. In the third issue, we are opening new sections that we hope you will enjoy. In addition to expanding the format of our almanac, our Clan's staff has been joined by wonderful people. Meet them:

Whitesunset - Blog World of Warcraft

der\_komandant - Blog Napoleon: Total War

panzerman - the invisible assistant of der\_komandant in the blog Napoleon: Total War

MajorStede - Blog Duke Nukem 3D

yoda

We welcome these people to our clan and wish them creative success. We hope they will delight you with their excellent works and articles.

Let’s smoothly transition from greetings to congratulations.

In each issue, we publish the final statistics of our almanac’s work. Lovers of detailed statistics can look at the results of our Second issue of the almanac in a special section (see below). In brief, it’s worth noting that almost EVERY, I repeat, EVERY post received silver. And three posts even reached gold. Thank you very much, friends, for not ignoring the underrated posts and for taking the time to check out and read the works of both famous and unknown authors. We collectively say to you

T H A N K Y O U ! ! !

(I think the authors themselves will join our cries :)) )

Here the audience applauds, applauds, applauds, and then stops applauding (c) from the movie "Welcome or No Trespassing"

So, let’s turn the page of our almanac. Our first and unchanged section:

Elkmar

Blog: Allods: The Seal of Mystery

Post: Review of the game Allods: The Seal of Mystery

Post: Assassins from A to Z. Especially for Gamer.ru!

Brief description: Let’s quote the epigraph of this wonderful post: "From the lands of the East to distant Scandinavia, only one word could strike fear into the most powerful rulers. That word is Assassin." Agree, very captivating. A wonderful story introducing us to these “knights of death.” There is silver, but it deserves gold.

Sergy

Blog: About Everything

Post: Review of the game "Golo War". Or the story about mushrooms.

Brief description: What can be better than mushrooms? Unless it’s a game, and the review for it was written by the famous @Sergy. We think many have seen this post, but it somehow barely reached silver. Let’s evaluate it properly!

Puffan

Do not be upset if you did not make it into our almanac. All submitted works are carefully read and reviewed, which takes a lot of time. However, the format of the almanac does not allow us to include everyone. All those who did not make it will automatically be published in the fourth issue :)

Section: Statistics

Now, ladies and gentlemen, a bit of statistics. How many upvotes did the authors mentioned in the second issue of our almanac gather? Detailed statistics.

Enjoyable memories, ladies and gentlemen.

Section: Unknown Author

This is a new section to be led by our staff correspondent KpeoH. In this section, he will try to find authors who are not well noticed on Gamer but who contribute significantly to the site’s growth with their works and interesting posts. Today, a beautiful girl visited KpeoH. After all, it is spring :)))

Please welcome the magnificent diabolist, master of hidden and obvious threats, a wonderful person, and beauty Kitty\_Venom

*KpeoH*: **Well, let’s start :) Tell us, when did you get a computer?**

Kitty_Venom: Hello and thanks again for the trust, let’s just say. :) We’ve had computers since I was a baby; my dad worked on mathematical algorithms and programming, and I was playing GoldenAxe, Digger, and Olympic games simulators on a 386 PC at the age of 5. Back then, all games were recorded on 3.5'' floppy disks. I still have a few saved even today. :)

KpeoH: What do you do in life, hobbies, interests?

Kitty_Venom: It’s probably easier to say what I don’t do.. :-D

I am currently working in a boring organization where sickly members of the society are bothering the staff. In other words, in a pharmacy. Meanwhile, I am finishing my internship certificate, which is why I am not online as often as I’d like. There’s hardly any time left for hobbies and interests, which is a pity. I have so many of them, and even during vacations, I can’t find time for everything. My favorites include dancing, drawing (both on paper and on the computer, I am slowly getting into using a tablet), writing all kinds of nonsense, and walking. Occasionally, I get inspired to come up with new concepts, read historical and fantasy books in kilograms, and create some new meat dishes.

KpeoH: Why did you get into Diablo, and what attracted you to it?

Kitty_Venom: I won’t answer this question as it is revealed in detail in the retro-review I wrote for the contest. I see no point in repeating myself. :)

(Confession of a Tired Admin)

KpeoH: Favorite character in Diablo?

Kitty_Venom: The Assassin, no contest. I love everything about it: the play style, the red pants, the claws, the short haircut. A quick and agile, cunning character. I fell in love with her as soon as I got the add-on. Considering that I bought the second part and the continuation simultaneously, the other heroes waited a long time for their turn to play. I was just studying the figurine of the Barbarian for the third Di... and realized that I wouldn’t mind if I saw a similar figurine of the Assassin. That’s why I am eagerly anticipating the chance to play as the Monk; I think it will be very similar to my favorite.

KpeoH: I think we don’t need to ask about the most anticipated game :D

Kitty_Venom: Exactly! :-D

Everything is so transparent that you don’t need to be a fortune teller. Besides, I’ve mostly moved away from computer games. I have finished the first "Assassin's Creed" and started playing the second, played in "Anno 1404" and in the fifth "Heroes". And I realized that it’s not the same as it used to be. Earlier, I could sleep for four or five hours just to get through my favorite game. Now, such euphoria is even nowhere close. Of the latest, the only thing that caught my attention is "Titan Quest." Therefore, I look forward to the third Di, as I really want to remember how it is not to get out of the game for hours and hope that the connection with battle.net won’t drop. :)

KpeoH: How did you start with admining?)

Kitty_Venom: By accident. It’s true. In 2008, after WWI, where Diablo III was announced, our admins synchronously decided to create a fan site for the game. In this euphoria of unanimous scratching, they started looking for someone for the role of the local chief of the Diablo fan club. That’s when I popped out of my hole at an inopportune moment. So they captured me. They took my passport, chained me up, and sent me to the galley to row towards a bright future. We’ve been rowing with varying success for a year and a half now. Glory, return my passport nicely! O_O

(More detailed and captivating can be read in Confession of a Tired Admin)

KpeoH: Do you have other favorite games besides Diablo?

Kitty_Venom: Yes, but not many.

I deeply love "Heroes of Might and Magic III." Specifically, the third one, as the earlier games are too cartoonish, the fourth is not as good in visuals, and the fifth (don’t throw tomatoes!) I deleted to the dogs after completing the first campaign. The 3D in this case killed it for me. But I still love the third and spent countless hours in all its scenarios and campaigns. Even in the ninth grade, I skipped school and pretended to be sick. That’s true.

I adore "Prince of Persia: Warrior Within." To some extent, I owe this game my habit of registering on forums. Gorgeous soundtrack, incredible combat system... the chests play no small part, too. I still sometimes put the Prince onto my computer and joyfully slice off tentacles from Dahaka. The best game in the series, in my opinion.

A special mention goes to "Pharaoh." I have a thing for city-builders, and this one is not only about my favorite Ancient Egypt, but it’s also incredibly beautiful. I built (and still build) pyramids with pleasure, and I have completed the campaign at least fifteen times. I will keep playing it as I return to this game every time since its release.

And of course, "Civilization III." In my opinion, the best game in the series, and I have spent the most gaming hours in it. Though I played the fourth and the second as well, both were very pleasant, but the third Civ is our everything.

In general, there are more games that I like. This includes both "Titan Quest" and "Tomb Raider." I spent a long time on "Sacred" and "The Lost World." I also love RPGs, but that’s another story. :)

KpeoH: What books/movies do you read/watch?

Kitty_Venom: I watch and read everything in a row. I don’t have favorite genres; I’m a movie- and book-maniac. For a time, I was into historical literature, especially reviews of Egyptian architectural monuments. Now I mainly read books on drawing and buy various art books. As for movies, I watch what’s enjoyable; I slid down to "Avatar" twice and really liked it. Recently, I think I’ll revisit my dearly beloved "Aliens," and then wait for the new series of "The Big Bang Theory"; I’m thrilled by it. I enjoy historical films too and am eagerly after the two-disc edition of "Gone with the Wind." You could interview me separately just about the films and cartoons I like, honestly. :-D There’s way too much I love.

KpeoH: What inspires you to write such wonderful posts?

Kitty_Venom: I don’t want to just slap down posts. We, with the guys, do translations primarily for the site, and I enjoy it when they turn out original, interesting, and full. When we have something that the rest do not. I love working under competitive conditions: you’re constantly on edge, and you need to continually prove your worth. Yes, right now, I’m not displaying much activity, but that’s just because I’m busy in real life. Once I sort myself out, yo-ho-ho! We will seize everything within reach.

Honestly, nothing inspires me. Mentally, I have a bar for writing materials, a certain level beneath which I don’t want to fall. That’s how we work. Moreover, many resources value those who can write from their head. In my opinion, this is the best way to attract attention. Plus, it’s pleasing to get feedback, and that’s undeniable. Even the coolest author will find it tough to write into a void, without responses. And here, we have very pleasant audiences. That’s it. :)

KpeoH: What are your plans for the future?

Kitty_Venom: First, finish the internship and change jobs. Then - to conquer the world. I really want to steer the planet secretly from the sanitarians. Regarding the rest, I won’t say anything for now: otherwise, it won’t come true. But if all goes well, you’ll find out first. :)

KpeoH: Where does the nickname "KittyVenom" come from?

Kitty_Venom: The story is very old. The first time I ventured online, back then in a chat, as there were not many forums. I needed a nickname that would have perspective and claims. Well, in general, it wasn’t Vasya_228 or Flirty_Kitten_23. I had two game boxes on my table. "Venom Codename Outbreak" and "The Beautiful Face of Death." Both games are quite awful, but I owe my nickname to them. The heroine of the second box was called Kitty Hawk, and you’ve already guessed where Venom came from. Thus, it turned out - KittyVenom. I only realized later how much that nickname corresponds to me. So I don't change it, I love it, cherish it, and take care of it. Well, as much as applies to a nickname, of course. :-D

KpeoH: How did you discover Gamer.ru?

Kitty_Venom: I found out accidentally. I was sitting in the evening, surfing diablo-area topics and stumbled onto some copypaste of our news. I can’t say that I was enthralled by Gamer at first; it’s one of those resources that you need to spend some time on to appreciate. So, I read a bit as a guest, and then decided to register. That’s about it. :)

KpeoH: How do you feel about Gamer in general? Do you like it, dislike it, how often do you visit?

Kitty_Venom: I have a very positive attitude towards it; I check it every day for something tasty. I’m slowly increasing the number of authors I read regularly, although due to my limited gameplay, most game blogs don’t interest me. However, I constantly stumble upon something curious. For example, I have gotten hooked on the collector's reviews by MrOrionto and AQuaRity. I’ve already burnt several out. :-D I really love author posts; I automatically give them +2 regardless of the cubes. ^^

Creon: Our interview is coming to an end; you can send greetings to friends or just say a parting word =)

Kitty_Venom: Thank you for reading; I honestly tried to behave well and be decent. :-D

And to be honest, I’m very pleased that you noticed me, caught me, and interrogated me. It has sparked a desire to keep floating around here with my cookies. So, that’s all about the pies.

And now, allow me to leave; it’s 11:35, and in 25 minutes I have a meeting with friends, to which I'm already late... O_O

Creon: Well, thank you for the interview, we wish you success in admining and a collector's edition of Diablo III straight to your home :)

Thank you all for your attention. We look forward to seeing you on the pages of our magazine in a month.

For you worked Crusader Clan :)

P.S.

The Crusader Clan mourns with everyone for those who perished as a result of the terrorist attacks in Moscow. Eternal memory to you!
