King's Bounty — 18th Anniversary Update
At the end of 2025, it became known that Fulqrum Publishing is updating the game King’s Bounty: Legend of the Knight (the version available on the Steam service).
The work has continued all this time and has recently been completed, as reported by the company.
It’s time to release our update to the main branch. All the improvements to the interface, compatibility with modern operating systems and aspect ratios, achievements, and much more are now the norm for “King’s Bounty: Legend of the Knight.” No more switching between branches, just launch the game!
But that’s not all! We have prepared a couple of surprises and gifts for you.
After all, just a month ago, King’s Bounty celebrated its 18th anniversary. So we seriously prepared for its “coming of age.”
Speed Competition.
First, two new achievements have been added. The first one is simple: just launch the game after the update, and you will receive it automatically. After all, the celebration is open to everyone!
The second one is more challenging, but the reward is worth it. It’s called “Titanomachy.” To obtain it, you need to defeat three bosses: Giyu, Kraken, and the Spider Queen.
An important point: simply loading a save where you have already met this condition will not unlock the achievement. You need to defeat them fairly, in the order in which you encounter them in the campaign—as befits a true Legend. No shortcuts, just good old-fashioned ultra-violence.
Why is this worth the effort? Because the first 20 players who can complete this… titanic task will win our contest! Our community manager will contact the winners through private messages on Steam and award them a prize: any game from the Fulqrum library of their choice. And it’s an extensive library that covers literally decades of history. So if you are fast and skilled enough, you’ll have a huge selection.
You can finally get the game you’ve wanted for a long time, or try to force your friends to become fans of King’s Bounty… We won’t dictate how to use your prize. Do what you want!
Release of Digital Bonus Materials
Wanted to add the King’s Bounty soundtrack to your music library without wandering into questionable corners of the internet? Great, this section is for you.

And as a final bonus, the Legend gets its own set of collectible Steam cards. Because we can. Because you asked. And because it’s just fun.
Support for Steam Workshop
Modders. They have been supporting the community all these years, and we want to give them credit. And this update has been a great occasion for that.
Now the game fully supports Workshop with seamless integration. So go ahead, upload your best mods so others can appreciate your hard work.
A complete guide to working with the Workshop for modders is available at this link. Be sure to read it carefully; there are important details without which working with the Workshop will become… problematic.
However, keep in mind: content will be moderated, and we reserve the right to remove any mods with 18+ content or that violate the law.
Conclusion
Almost everything! But there are still a few small things.
If you love the original version and want to play it in its original form - we have preserved it in the “Legacy” branch. You can switch to it at any time through Steam, just as you switched to the beta branch. But note: achievements do not work there.
Also, we are not done with King’s Bounty yet! Next up is Princess in Armor. Its beta branch already has most of the Legend’s improvements, and now we have added unique achievements there as well. Check it out for yourself.
