Collector's Edition

There’s still no decent review (too bad that MWorld didn’t release a review), so I couldn’t wait and made my own.

So, our collector's edition is almost identical to the Western one (there's an unboxing video in the post, so upvote the post, please ;) ). Now, let’s go into detail.

Box

A beautiful Russianized cardboard-glossy packaging. Its dimensions are like a DVD box, but twice as thick. Inside, there’s a DVD box and a cardboard with "goodies" - an art book, a comic, and a card for the "Cerber" network.


DVD-Box

Stylish matte black metallic box with glossy images of Shepard on the front and the collector on the back.


The collector's eyes shine in the light. :)


Inside the DVD box are 3 discs (2 with the game and one bonus disc, about which I’ll discuss below), a guide, and 2 flyers (one with a code for the collectors' armor and weapons).



Bonus Disc

Contains a 23-minute video about the making, a set of trailers for the game, and wallpapers that are in the root of the disc (if you select the item in the menu, it will say that you need to insert the disc for wallpapers). Oh yes, there are short video clips in the background (different clips for different menu items). The disc is beautifully designed, and there's quite an interesting story from the developers and actors about the game and its creation. The only downside is that there are no subtitles and, of course, no translation.







No exclusive wallpapers were noticed. Each wallpaper is provided in several sizes.


Guide

Quite standard, black and white, with pictures. On the back cover - the game key.


Cardboard with Goodies

It contains a card for the "Cerber" network, an art book, and the original first issue of the comic Mass Effect: Redemption (correspondingly, in English).

Cerber Network Card

A standard plastic card (Russianized!), on the back - a code (activate it in the game, not on Bioware's social network, there were troubles with downloading the DLC. I activated it in the game, there in the menu I selected the corresponding item, which sent me to the social network page where I downloaded them.

Comic

It’s nice as hell to hold a quality comic in your hands, not those cheap things I bought at newsstands in my childhood. I provided a link to the post with the translation and original, I’ll just leave scans of the cover and the last page. Judging by the number on the back cover, surely a million copies exist.


On the last page, as you can see, there’s a link to the site with maps, walkthroughs, and other information.. for money. So their appearance on the network can also be expected.

Art Book

A colorful 47-page art book with comments from the artists. I’ll provide just a handful of scans.


Overall, the art book should appear online in good quality since the digital collector's edition is supposed to include a digital copy. But so far, I haven't found anything.
