Warcraft Cosplay by Natalia Firsakova
Hello everyone.
To fill the empty time without any posts, I want to showcase my cosplay from one of my favorite games - [Warcraft III](/games?search=Warcraft III). Also, to diversify the post, I want to briefly talk about how I made my costume. If anyone's interested, the detailed version is here - http://vk.com/page-64927236\_46765529
So, my character is Jaina Proudmoore. Forget about the tragedy in Theramore and how Jaina feels about the Horde at this moment. In Warcraft III, she appears before us as a peace-loving girl who "hates violence." She is the envoy of the Kirin Tor and a talented sorceress (the best in the kingdom, according to Arthas). Later on, she becomes the leader of the survivors from Lordaeron, as well as the hero of the Battle of Mount Hyjal.
I decided to create the old version of the costume from [Warcraft III](/games?search=Warcraft III) (because I love hoods, haha). But many characters from the third Warcraft received almost identical, but more detailed costumes in WoW, while they made something completely different for Jaina. Beautiful, but different. So I wanted to return to the old version and add a bit of detail, think of features in the style of Blizzard, while still maintaining the recognizability of the image.
I didn’t submit a trial color sketch of the design; I generally based it on this rough sketch.
As you can see, I added armor to Jaina (namely, bracers, greaves, a shoulder pad; I also decided to craft the belt instead of sewing it).
I made all the armor from linoleum. (I experimented with golden patterns, using papier-mâché, insulation, and decorative cord). I did a lot of sanding and smoothed the edges with sealant and papier-mâché. The most enjoyable process was painting the armor. I have been working on this for a long time, gradually applying transparent layers of paint, but this is probably my favorite activity.
Shoulder Pad.

I also added more runes on the cloak
The red color is from the custom game; it can be changed. When Jaina is neutral, all her patterns are blue.
I made the staff over 4 evenings. The crystal is made from a rectangular, transparent plastic bucket, with a flashlight inserted inside. Unfortunately, at the festival, the glow was not always visible because the photos were taken with a flash.

That's it. I'm waiting for spring and warmth to do a photoshoot for the costume, but for now, I’m working on new costumes from WoW.
Thank you for reading/watching. Wishing everyone happiness and good luck in all your endeavors.)
