Developed by the Zenimax Online Studios, The [Elder Scrolls](/games?search=Elder Scrolls) Online combines unique world exploration in the spirit of the series with social aspects of MMO role-playing games. Players will discover a completely new chapter in the history of the [Elder Scrolls](/games?search=Elder Scrolls) universe, set a thousand years before the events of Skyrim, when Prince Molag Bal attempted to plunge Tamriel into a demonic dimension.
"It's amazing that we can finally showcase what we've been working on for several years," said game designer and veteran of the MMO industry Matt Firor, whose previous work includes the beloved player favorite [Dark Age of Camelot](/games?search=Dark Age of Camelot) by Mythic. *"The whole team is focused on creating the best MMO in history - and an MMO that lives up to the name the [Elder Scrolls](/games?search=Elder Scrolls)."*
A detailed look at everything from solo quests to dungeons awaits in our massive feature in the June issue of the magazine. There, you will also find the first details about the PvP mode, which will pit three factions against each other on the fields of Cyrodiil for the ultimate prize - the throne of the Emperor.
The [Elder Scrolls](/games?search=Elder Scrolls) Online will be released in 2013 for PC and Mac.
