The legendary and long-awaited The [Elder Scrolls](/games?search=Elder Scrolls) Online has been announced in the latest issue of Gameinformer, on the cover of which you can see the map of the upcoming epic: all of Tamriel, from Elsweyr to Skyrim.

Developed by the team at Zenimax Online Studios, The [Elder Scrolls](/games?search=Elder Scrolls) Online combines the unique exploration of the world in the spirit of the series with the social aspects of MMO-RPGs. Players will discover a whole new chapter in the history of the [Elder Scrolls](/games?search=Elder Scrolls) world, set a thousand years before the events of Skyrim, when the prince Molag Bal sought to plunge Tamriel into a demonic dimension.

UPD: Bethesda Game Studios (the longtime developers of the Elder Scrolls series) reported on their microblog that TES Online is not their project.
