Contenders for Victory
This year, six teams will participate in the tournament final. Among them are renowned teams that represented the Russian server in international competitions and newcomers.
AoeXe has actively participated in Point Blank competitions since 2010. In 2013 and 2014, the team won the World Championship (Point Blank International Championship). AoeXe emerged as the winners of the Point Blank League 2024 tournament.
Andrey Ilyichev, captain of AoeXe: "The season has been productive: we managed to both lose and win. Despite the shortened number of seasons, we managed to gain good form. We are already preparing for the LAN final — calmly, without unnecessary tension. This season, our team has undergone changes: at the beginning of the year, Kirill "K1ryaa" Fedorov joined us and adapted well."
The NCsky team are also "veterans" of e-sports. In 2011, the team participated in the Point Blank Cyber Series 2011 — the first tournament organized by the official publisher of the game in Russia. In the final, NCsky lost to AoeXe (competed under the name RoX.KiS). At Point Blank League 2025, the team is preparing to make themselves known again.
Pavel Samoylov, player of NCsky: "To be honest, it's a bit sad — we were hoping that Bogdan "Qusion" Pazilov would win us all the finals, but it didn't happen. Still, to be serious, we played in the qualifiers as best as we could, and the lineup stayed the same. There will be more chances to show ourselves."
The team who cares? is no less famous in e-sports. They represented the Russian server at the Point Blank International Championship in 2023 and 2025. Together with AoeXe, they secured first places based on total Arena Points over two seasons and automatically advanced to the 1/4 LAN final of PBL 2025.
Andrey Kalugin, captain of the team whocares?: "The PBL 2025 season has been ambiguous for us. After PBIC, the roster changed significantly: players Daniil "Wake" Grishankin and Maxim "Evostation" Vazhnev joined us, and during the offseason — Arsen "Face" Gavrilov, who returned to e-sports after a hiatus. We won the first league of the season, but the PBL finals were tough: there were technical issues that affected the result. Now we are gearing up for the LAN with a cool head and competitive anger — we want to prove that we can do more."
The teams DarkHorse and A3boots faced each other at the end of last year in the final of the QuickFire tournament in Point Blank at the "RED EXPO" forum. Back then, luck smiled on A3boots. This time, the teams will once again determine who is the best player on the arena.
Sergey Moskovsky, captain of A3boots: "The season started off tough: players Wake and Evostation left us, and we had to urgently restructure the lineup. Now the team is back in shape, there is stability and confidence. We are seriously aiming for the final. We have a coach working with us who helps with analytics, discipline, and mental preparation. There are three newcomers in the roster, and they quickly adapted. In such a team, we see potential."
Nikita Korsakov, team DarkHorse: "The season was challenging, but definitely memorable. There were plenty of problems — we didn't so much solve them as we learned to live with them. Yet we made it to the finals, even though it seemed at times that nothing could help us. This is the strength of the team. We are heading to the LAN final with a fighting spirit. We are not just in the top 6 — we are here to win. Our preparation for the final is unconventional: we added more rest. The integration of newcomers went well — the new captain quickly found common ground with the team and added more tactics in preparing for the final. Now we have briefings, which we didn’t have before."
The debutants of the Point Blank League 2025 are the team eXcuse. The guys clawed their way to victory in the tiebreaker matches against the more experienced team FlyToMoon, winning on three out of five maps.
