Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is a first-person shooter, the third game in the Modern Warfare series, and the eighth in the Call of Duty franchise.
The game's storyline continues the story of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 — the Russian Federation continues to occupy the United States and also invades France, England, and Germany. At the beginning of the game, we see shots of Delta Force soldiers in Los Angeles trying to force a Russian submarine to surface. They take it over and head on a mission to destroy a radar installation on the roof of the New York Stock Exchange. During the single-player campaign, the player takes on the role of various characters, allowing them to see events from different perspectives.
Each level is a special mission that has its own goals and objectives, displayed on a monitor, which also shows information about the direction of movement and the distance to the objective. The level of damage to the character is indicated by the amount of blood on the screen. Their health regenerates over time. Missions have different requirements; sometimes the player needs to arrive at a specific point, sometimes to eliminate a specific enemy at a certain location, protect a location or object, or plant charges on an enemy object. Usually, the player is accompanied by soldier friends, to whom they cannot give orders.
The new version of the game will include another survival mode. Here, one or two players will have to fend off constant enemy attacks, with the difficulty level increasing over time. This mode will be available across all multiplayer maps.
The rewards and ranking system in this version of the game has been changed.
The game's characters include familiar faces such as Captain John MacTavish, Russian informant Nikolai, and his compatriot ultra-nationalist Vladimir Makarov (the game's main villain), as well as new characters. There will also be new characters that are non-manipulable by players.
