Daniel Vávra will not be making the next Kingdom Come: Deliverance — he will make a film about it
According to a article on the CzechCrunch portal, Daniel Vávra is no longer the creative director of Warhorse Studios. He will now focus on adapting the franchise into a film or series (it hasn't been specifically decided yet).
As explained by the CEO of Warhorse Studios Martin Frývaldský, the team has long sought to expand into other media (comics, concerts, and even attractions for tourists), but so far the film adaptation hasn't worked out. And now, after the release of KCD2, the studio is full of enthusiasm for the new project.
Unfortunately, there have been no comments from Vávra himself yet, but Martin assures that Daniel will surely be able to offer a strong story (after all, he is behind not only both Kingdom Come: Deliverance games but also the first Mafia). However, regarding the details of the plot (in particular, whether it will repeat the game, complement it, or be an alternative story), that question remains unresolved. The team is still considering various options.
