Results of the exhibition-festival of domestic game developers "IGROPROM"
The All-Russian exhibition-festival of domestic video game developers "IGROPROM" took place in Moscow at the Main Stage venue from September 19-21. This year, the event became not only a platform for game demonstrations but also a true celebration of culture, technology, and creativity.
According to the organizers, over 12,000 visitors attended "IGROPROM," with approximately 119 exhibition booths represented. Guests could participate in esports tournaments, watch cosplay shows, play retro and VR games, car simulators with cockpits, board games, and communicate with developers of new domestic projects, as well as participate in quests and prize draws. Guests were able to join esports tournaments hosted by Only games. A total of 63 games were featured in showcases. Round tables discussing issues of regulation and support for the Russian gaming industry were also held, along with presentations of games showcased at the festival.
The festival was supported by: the Agency for Creative Industries (AKI), the Moscow Innovation Cluster, the Russian Military Historical Society (RVIO), Synergy University, VK Play, the Institute of Business and Design, the Guild "Borders of Science," and Radio "Maximum." Technical support for the festival was provided by LG, HAVIT, and HYPERPC.
Experts from APRIORI participated in the business program of the exhibition: Alexander Mikheev, Vyacheslav Makarov, Dmitry Smith, Alexander Zhuravlev, Dmitry Karasev, and Alexey Fedoseev. They discussed the current state of the gaming industry, the challenges faced, and what lies ahead for game development and other related fields in the future.
The program featured presentations, lectures, and discussions. At the event, the creative director of the studio "Cyberia Nova," Sergey Ruskiy, announced that the demo version of the new game "Zemsky Sobor" is freely available to everyone on VK Play and the project’s website. The editor-in-chief of VK Play Media, Semyon Kudryashov, explained why it is worth keeping an eye on Russian games, while expert Oleg Dobroshtan shared principles for managing indie teams. Creative producer of 1C Game Studios, Albert Zhiltcov, and executive director of the project "War of the Worlds: Siberia," Sergey Volkov, held sessions in a dialogue format. Producer of interactive educational projects "Time of Troubles," Andrey Belov, gave a lecture on the role of games in the future of education.
IGROPROM gathered not only gamers but also well-known guests from the worlds of cinema, voice acting, and blogging. Among those who attended were: scriptwriter of "Lada Gold" and "Major in Dubai" Yegor Chichkanov, the voice of Prying from "Shrek" — Dmitry Filimonov, Sergey Chikhachev — actor from the series "Cyber Village," Darya Frolova (also known as Chloe from Detroit: Become Human and Ladybug), Yevgeny Chebatkov — a comedian, as well as bloggers Utopia Show, Yan Toples, Darya Ostrovskaya, Maiya BRM, and Room Knight.
